After I finish making a Database for mailing labels Avery 8160 I can't move it to the master work window

  • Anonymous Oct 04, 2010

    to micromatikal

This is my first attempt at printing label with this LABEL FACTORY DELUXE MANUAL.

I am at page page 102 in the manual with a small database made up of names & addresses

The next instructions on page 103 & 104 is to click the MASTER tap then click Open Database

. But when I click Database on the menue the Open comand is not avabale. And on the Database

Tool bar I get no responce from Open Database, My Database will open if I click on Edit Database Records.

And this is where I am stuck.

    Thank You Bill Robison

    Hi; Tim (micromatikal)

To answer your first question, This is the first time I have tried to do anything with this LABEL FACTORY software. Ihave been reading & working with this manual for over three weeks.

For the second question. If you mean have I closed the program & started from scratch? Yes many

times. I have at least a dozen topics printed from the programs HELP section.

If you can't help, I guess I will call a Geek to come in & teach me.

    Thank again for trying

    Bill Robison

Hmm ok, have you been able to move a database like that one in the past without problems? Does it allow you to individually add the address to a new address label - from the database?

I am not certain it should work the way you are thinking it does.. please confirm have you been able to do it in the past?

Yikes that is very strange. After saving your database have you tried completely exiting out of the program, then re-opening it? This can sometimes cause the databases to be re-initialized and will allow you to access them. Give this a try while I continue to research this for you.

    Thanks

If you'd like I can take a look at your screen and see if I can figure out exactly what you have going on, and how it works. If you want to do this please download this little utility:

    http://www.teamviewer.com/download/TeamV...

Download it, open it up and reply back to this message with the ID and Password it gives you. Make sure to leave the utility with the ID / Password open though...

Once you write back with it I will connect to your computer.

    Thanks
    Tim

Will not feed Avery 8160 labels

While that printer's specifications (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00718670&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=1153754#N415) allow up to 30 labels in its paper tray & up to 25 in its output tray, Avery® often recommends (if not instructs) only feeding one sheet in at a time.

I have a Kodak ESP 5200 series printer. When I try to print Avery 8160 address labels the sheet comes out not printed.

Hi

You can try and download the label again from below link--

Avery 8160 label download

Click the "Download Template" button. Enter your info and click "Submit". Follow the prompts to download the file. After you download your Avery template, be sure to remember where you saved the file on your computer and the file name. Open Microsoft® Word or an Adobe® program for your template and select File > Open to navigate to the drive and folder to open your template. Use the program's formatting and printing features to edit and save your template. For Microsoft® Word users - If the template looks like a blank page, select Table > Show Gridlines to view the template layout.
Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

I can't get Avery 8160 labels to print on our HP computer with Vista microsoft; it would print out one column but not the three that are on the label sheet. Help!

Its possible that you are trying to use software designed for windows XP or such, Vista will not normally work with earlier software. Check to see if there is vista compatable software available.
