Internal issue with the radios amp circuit. The speaker output and the headset output run through different circuits. If you have headset output, all functions prior to the amp circuit are good. Radio will need to be repaired. Contact Iron Cross Audio for repair options.

Radio has power the display button works but radio will not play

You either have a blown speaker or the amplifier in the radio has gone bad. Sometimes a blown speaker will act as an additional ground thus grounding out the radios internal amp. Check your speaker by hooking them to an external audio source. If you do have a blown speaker once it is removed all working speakers should play. Speakers should be replaced in pairs. If they all work its the radio itself. It will need to be replaced.

Toyota Corolla 1997 I've installed kickers in the rear (KS series to match the front)... had those going for a couple of weeks with no problems. Yesterday i went to install the KS400 series in the...

take one of the front speakers out and pull out the head unit and unplug a set of audio wires(front right, front left ect.) and hook it up directly from the radio to the speaker there for bypassing all the cars wires. If it works then there's a problem with the car's wiring(maybe an inline amp). If it doesn't work, then try a known good speaker from somewhere else(home stereo speaker for example) and connect it to the radio, if the speaker works, your radio is fine and there may be a problem with the speakers. If it doesn't work then you have a problem with the head unit.

I boght the adapter tht conects my ipod to my car lighter so i can listen to it through the speakers but it wont there a certain station i have to have it on?

Get your money back. There is no way to have something plug into the lighter plug and have it over take the radio or anything else for that matter. If you are wanting it to hook up to your head unit then get an aftermarket one unless you have a newer vehicle thats less than 5 yrs old and has that set up already. You will need one of two things, either a headphone cable that has male ends (like ones that are used for desktops to hook up speakers) and plug that into the the sat/usb/aux port on the radio or buy an adapter that will plug into an auxilary port on the radio.

Check for loose wires on front speakers (remove faring, 7 screws). The popping one may be blown.
Try some electrical contact spray on the handle bars control switch, and then work the switch.

Only door speakers have sound on the cd mode

the amp requires a 12 volt power constant, and a 12 volt "on" signal. you prolly have the 12 v "on" hooked up to the car stereo's antennae remote, meaning your amp gets power when the radio is on, cuase the radio is sending a signal to the amp (thinking that it is sending a signal to the antennae to raise)

you do have one of those collapsable antennas, right?
