Are any other appliances or light bulbs giving you trouble?

I would want to first make sure that your power line voltage was correct.

Or, when you say "not getting full power" does that means it's not heating as well?

That's quite possible, since the turntable is essential to even heating.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPSWi_z7M58

If yours won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven. You may have to cut the cover off with snips, then use a screw when reassembling it.

Please write back with your brand and model number and more details if you need further help.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

My sharp R-340H no longer cooks. Still powers up

Please check the door safety interlock switches ...

If the switches are faulty, the oven thinks the door is open and will not turn on the heat ...

Find them indice hear the latch assembly.

The turntable no longer turns

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts for most major brands by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

If you don't find what need there, you can probably order parts from Encompass here or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Spacemaker XL1800 turntable turns sometimes

I would say an internal post broke inside the motor. This often happens when a heavy item is placed on the tray.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

I can't get my clock set. I push options, 3 and 1, then when I put in the time, nothing happens. I need to know if I can use a ceramic turntable out of my old Microwave Convection oven. My oven...

In case your owner's manual is missing, you can download it here.

If you're still having trouble after consulting the manual, please reply back.

The ceramic turntable (actually ceramic coated metal) will be fine as long as it doesn't have chips or cracks where arcs can occur.

Also, for even heating and longer turntable life, don't place your food in the center, but slightly off-center instead.

If you need to order a new turntable, enter your full model number JES1290SK here http://tinyurl.com/gv383

It's called either the turntable coupler or the turntable support, depending on your model number. You can visit the Sears parts Web site at http://www3.sears.com/ and enter your full model number and see exploded view diagrams, parts lists, and order the part. Or you can call Sears parts at 1-800-252-1698.

Turntable no longer turns

Your problem is either a weak or slipping motor or a broken / cracked turntable coupler. If the coupler turns loosely without actually engaging the motor, it is bad. If the coupler is good or looks good, it's probably the motor. One test of the motor is to firmly grab the shaft with pliers and try to gently turn it. It should turn with some resistance and make a whining sound as it turns, since it is a highly geared motor. If the motor turns very very freely - or not at all - then it is bad. You can see an exploded diagram and order parts via the Jenn-Air (Maytag) Web site at http://services.maytag.com/abs/PartsStore.do?nextPage=psstartpage You will need to enter your full model, which is apparently one of the following: JMC7000ADB JMC7000ADQ JMC7000ADW Referring to the CABINET-BASE-CAVITY diagram found there, you will see: - REF 23 motor - REF 27 coupler One of those is likely the culprit.
