Is it plugged in?

is the switch on the back switched to the on?

does anything happen at all like a short burst of power then shuts off and dies

are there componets inside that are shorting out

if none of the above my first try would to be to get a new power supply.

what symptoms were u having before the failure?

Beeps twice then pauses and beeps twice again(repeats) and wont boot

When your computer emits beeps when you power on the computer, it's usually means that you have a memory issue. Try re-seating the memory modules and power on the computer. If you have more the one module, insert one at a time and power on the computer.

Sony desktop will not power on

One of two things usually.
  • Power supply is bad
  • Motherboard is bad

Usually the power supply. They do supply many different voltages so it maybe powering the fans and/or LEDs but the computer wont boot. Very common problem.

Computer wont turn on with 750 watt power supply

Make sure the PSU itself isn't dead, if not, then make sure all the plugs that were required before in the 300 watt, have plugs for the 700 as well. There is also a small chance the motherboard cant handle that much wattage, if its an older model.

Dell dem 8100 wont start

The things to check are - is it connected to power? Is the power strip on? Is the power supply on? Reseat all components you can on the inside of the computer. If it still won't start you'll need someone to look at it in person.

Computer wont power up. Light stay amber and fan come on

Hi. No I think mobo is ok as you've got power to fan and lights. Are the drives kicking in? if yes then I think its your memory. Also if the drives are kicking in then your cpu is also ok. So that leaves the memory and graphics card. Good luck
