Question about Autodesk AutoCAD 2002 for PC
I recently bought a new computer, 250 m hard drive with 2 gigs of ram. Windows XP. In installed Quark Xpress 5.0 no problem. However, when I try to call in text to the document it tells me that there is insufficient disk space.
I went into virtual memory and turned paging file off and the program works fine.
Since the paging file is now off, will this create problems. I tried to put in different memory sizes, but the only thing that seems to allow the program to work is turning off the paging file.
Also, I can's turn the paging file back on unless I do a system restore. Is there another way around this?
Nope..Quark is usually a dedicated system approach, where a computer is allocated to that work, solely. It's a fully operational system, and requires as many resources as you can give it. The memory's not the issue. You may want to increase the virtual memory on the disk to the highest level, if you are careful.
