The program installation files in windows are usually (file.exe), get the (.exe) of the file you want to install and then double click it, read the instructions appear and go with them, that`s all.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Whats the best way to transfer my infomation and programs to a newer computer

For content, if you don't want to transfer it all to a flash drive and then transfer it to the new machine, register for an account at any (or all, your choice) of the following sites:
Dropbox (2GB free)
https://drive.google.com/ (15GB free)
Welcome to OneDrive (15-23GB free)
Once the programs of your choice are downloaded and installed, use them to back up your personal files to the internet. Then, on the new computer, install the programs and allow them to sync. This will download them from the internet. Move the files out of the folders to free up space, wait for the removal to sync to the old computer, and go back to the old computer to move more in to be moved over. Repeat this as much as needed to have all of your files moved over.
For programs, transfer any installation files you still have (the program you download and then click to install) through the cloud storage programs from above that you choose, then use these .exe files to install to the new laptop. If you don't have the .exe files lying around, then you can either hunt them down individually on the new computer (in which case, make a list from your old computer) or use a service like
Ninite Install or Update Multiple Apps at Once (it's free, by the way) to mass download/install most common programs so that you don't have to go hunting for them.
For programs that were installed via disc, you're probably just going to have to install those on the new machine the old fashioned way. You cannot just copy/paste program folders (though it's tempting) because installing programs writes values to your computer's registry, which cannot be transferred and certainly don't tag along with the program files installed on the computer. These registry values are what tell the computer how to handle that installation, so while some programs MIGHT work, most will not work well or at all without.
Hope this helped!

I want ti install JDK version 1.5

1.Remove the previous version of Java installed on your computer by selecting "Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs" from your computer's Start menu. Then, choose the Java program in the program listing and select the remove icon.

2. Uninstall Quicktime from the Add/Remove Programs menu after Java is uninstalled. In past versions of Quicktime, it has been known to interfere with new Java JDK installations.

3.Download JDK 1.5 from the link listed in the Resources section of this article.

4.Choose the installer program after download is complete and choose the default menu options displayed by the installer to install the JDK to your computer. Restart your computer after installation is complete and you will have JDK 1.5 installed on your computer.

I am trying to install my old software on my new computer. After hitting the "Install personal patterns for children - special edition" I get an error message stating: could not execute external program...

Open "My Computer".
Double-click the icon for the CD-drive.
Look for that 'ppchild' file.
Or, look for an 'setup' file or an 'install' file.
Double-click one of those files, to restart the installer.

If it still fails, then your new computer (running Windows 7) probably has recognized that the program is _NOT_ compatible with Windows 7. So, start the Windows "Program Compatibility Wizard", and tell it that you want to install a Windows XP program on your new computer.

System start but shut off after 1 minutes

Have you just recently installed a new program in to your computer? Sometimes a new program will interfere with another program already installed in your computer. If you think you know which program may be the culprit, try removing the program and see if it does the trick. Good luck.

If i restore my insp. 2200 to factory settings what exactly will be on it/

Your computer gonna be reformatted like it was when it was new. you get a new installed computer. all programs that you have installed gonna be gone. your computer gonna be as new.
if you run restore remember to save your data to a external media as usb disk or networkdevice because all information you have on your computer gonna get lost.
Also you need to reinstall all programs like office, firefox skype or other program you want installed.
The advantages with restore is that you computer becomes as it was when you bought it = faster then today.. remember to install all windows updates before you begins to install any other programs.
Hope I maid it clear for you what happends :) Good luck..

Moving to a new computer

Any files you created and saved using the money application can be transferred to any other computer. The money program however is an installed application. You will need to install money on the new computer. Unless the license allows for installation on more than one computer you will need to buy the program again. It may be ok to uninstall money from the old computer and install on the new. Read the EULA that came with the program to see if it is allowed.

Hope this helps.

Saving files before uninstall

Just put the PowerPoint CD into the drive. An autorun program should automatically start the PowerPoint installation program. From there, just follow the instructions on the screen. You should not need to change any of the default setup options.

Loading Program to Computer from CD

Whenever you install a new program, make sure you turn the computer off and then restart it. If this doesn't help, then re-install the program.
