Your question is not clear at all. What are all those area measures in cm^2?

Take two segments that correspond to one another and for which you have the lengths.

This will allow you to find the scale factor k.

k= (length of a segment in smaller figure)/(length of**the corresponding segment **in larger figure).

Then

**Area of smaller figure =k^2(area of larger figure)**

In the formula above insert the area of the larger figure as given to you or as calculated by you using the shape and dimensions of the figure.

You don't need a calculator for this. Simply multiply both the numerator and denominator by 2 to get 2/30.

OK,do not worry. Press [2nd][MODE] to access tghe (SETUP) options. Then press 2 to select [2:LineIO]. from now on all your results will be displayed as decimal numbers. Do not pay attention to the D for degrees, if you are not doing angle calculations or trigonometry.

Another point. Since you only want to balance the checkbook, all your numbers have at most 2 decimal digits and it might be less tiresome for you if you configure your calculator to display just 2 figures after the decimal mark.

To do that

Here's how in 4 easy steps (I substituted "A" for "X", my more favorite variable.):

1.) Set calculator to "Degree"

2.) Given-- (cos( X))

3.) Given--(4.37/7.25)==> (437/725)

4.) Add--(cos( X)+ (437/725)

First to solve a problem, write it like this

solve(3/x-2+21/x^2-4=14/x+2,x)

Second, for inverse, do this (note the "y=" part)

solve(y=3x^2 -2x+1,x)

The calculator will rewrite the formula as x = ...
