On your iPod, go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings. When your iPod resets it will ask you to enter your WiFi password. Enter your 26 digit WEP key and you will be able to connect to the internet again. I had do reset mine twice, and it worked the second time.

Invalid argument

Invalid Argument is a Wi-Fi issue.

Check your password for the wireless connection (if it WEP you MUST use the HEx equaivalent and not the word - for WPA its fine ).

Also check that the router has allowed access for your device as some routers have device (MAC locking)

Thank you and good luck!

How do you connect to app store when your ipod touch says cannot connect to app store invalid argument

Update the ipod software to 3.1.2 to address wi/fi problems, but dont update to the latest version 3.1.3 because the sneaky bastards at Apple used 3.1.3 to undo the jailbreak from Black Rain and Cydia. Theres no big improvement between 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 anyways.

Now make sure your ipod is fully charged and touch settings, wi/fi, slide the wi/fi to on, choose the same wi/fi you use to connect with your computer, and input the same user name and password, push the home button at the bottom of the ipod, then touch on Safari and the internet should be there for you.

Cheers old chap.

Operaton could not be completed. Invalid Argument is the error message I get when trying to connect to my home wifi. What am I doing wrong?

Download the latest software driver which should be 3.1.2 for the ipod touch. Then touch settings icon, touch wi-fi box at top and then touch again to turn wi/fi on. Then choose the name of the network you use to log on when your using the computer. Then type in the same password you use to log on your computer. Now push the home button at the bottom of the ipod. Now touch the safari icon at the bottom of the screen and the internet should be there for you.

My ipod touch says its connected to my 2wire att modem but every time I try to pull up an app such as the itunes store it says invalid argument?

make sure you set up your access wep code or put the modems numbers in as the wep code. Try this, the itouch can find a wi-fi almost anywhere but to acces it it must be in the set up or alowed to use the wi-fi.

Won't connect to wifi...says invalid argument

The ipod touch is an advanced state of art equipment that recognizes when your arguments are not backed up by cold hard facts and data.  Just kidding.

Turn off ipod and turn on again.  Now try.  Anything? Upgrade to 3.1.2 ipod software to address some wi/fi connection problems.  Also, type the same password you would use to access the net on your computer.

How do you fix your iPod touch if it say invalid argument?

The ipod is very advanced and does not see any valid points to your argument.  You have to back up your statements with evidence and hard facts and not heresay and opinions and you may win this trial yet.
Just kidding. You got a problem with the wi/fi internet.  Power down ipod and power back up.  Type the same password you use on your computer to connect to the internet.  Also, update the software to 3.1.2 to address wi/fi connection issues.

IPOD touch Invalid argument error message

All you need to do is reset wi-fi network. Go to settings on ipod and go to network you normally sign on to. choose "Forget this Network". sign on to that same network. you will need your password. This will reset and you should be able to sign on.

My i-pod touch (8Gb) can't connect to internet

This worked for me: Went into SETTINGS > Wi-Fi > Selected my Network (which my iPod said I was already connected to) > Selected "Forget this Network" (which disconnects you from your network) > Re-selected my network and under password, I entered the 'Security Key' from my Verizon FIOS Tech Wizard info and the device accessed the app store successfully.
