Question about Raymarine C70 GPS Receiver

Good morning When I switch on my C70 i have not the normal screen, only vertical lines. Sometimes the screen works, but next time the same problem appers...vertical lines e can't use it. Can you help me? Best regards, Antonio

    This happened to ours multiple times. Raymarine was useless. I found on a forum a solution that worked for us. It does require opening the chart plotter and accessing the terminal strip that connects the screen to the boards. It took me about an hour from remove and reinstall. Separate the internal boards to access the terminal strip, apply pressure and you will likely feel it engage further. Reverse the dismantle process and it should work.

I recognize the problem. It mostly occurs when the plotter is exposed to moist during some days. The contactstrip which connects the computer to the screen gets moist and does not conduct in an optimal way. The result is a non readable screen with stripes

The solution is simple: press on the edges of the screen and the contact is re-established.

I have evenly spaced, rows of two vertical green and red lines from top to bottom of my vizio plasma P50HDTV10A


Somehow when switching between the tv and the dvd my wife encountered the pink and green, thin, parallel, vertical lines on the screen. The picture was visible with the lines. I turned the tv off and on but the problem persisted. Unplugged tv for about two minutes and after plugging it back in and turning it on the vertical lines very gone and the picture was back to normal.

My c70 today, went from normal operation to a screen full of flickering vertical lines. Any clues as to what is wrong??? Cheers Peter


The cause: damp.
Easy solution: press on left side of screen. Voila!

Longer answer:
The connection between screen and computer is made bij means of a long, small horizontal strip with multiple connections in the vertical plane.
The strip sits loosely between the left side of the screen and the print.
When damp occurs the connections between the screen and the computer can be lost.
Helping to re-establish the connection by means of light pressure on the left side of the screen solves the problem.

LCD monitor have Vertical lines and black colour become greenish


normally the 19" resolution can support up to 1280*1024, but if it comes with vertical lines in full screen, it might indicate the panel is no longer to work and probably it's time to replace new one.

Go to the last page of troubleshooting in the manual and perform the system reset procedure. Basically hold the Wega "arrow up" as you manually switch the TV off. It will automatically switch back on and reset. I had only vertical colored lines on the screen, with audio but no response to any remote control functions. The rest worked perfectly.

Plasma TV with vertical lines


EASY! ok the 4th video processing unit is malfunctioning, if it is a Piano affect like the keys on the piano, then that can be fixed under your 1year warrenty after your 1year warrenty it will cost $200, but i could be wrong, i never studied panasonic plasma casue they ****, next time get a samsung.

the worst contrast and video ajustments, thats a panasonic.

tricky!! oh hi im Dyanne.. a totally unresponsive black screen can be th result of failure of th LCD or LCD inverter.( a specialized piece of electronics that energize th screen) to rule out th failure of th video display adapter or circuitry, try plugging in an external monitor..a standard pc monitor.. attached direct to th lappy. if it works, (as i susopect) th motherboard and video display are both working ok and its th LCD which is at fault. this can sometimes be repaired by a competent specialist. good luck xx

  • from this statement it is clear that there is a loose contact in tv
  • please check for loose contact in some components
  • loose contact in connector
  • loose contact in print.
  • if you are not tech person then take help from him.
