The graphic card usually crashes due to over heating. Keep the gpu cool. you may use a pedestal fan as well.

Hello
Uninstall All drivers and software for ati card. Take card out.Put card back in. Reboot pc.Reinstall drivers.I dont think the 128 mb cards Came with a fan.The 256mb did.

All the same, check your pc fans are working and clean. Also disable any onboard motherboard Graphics. You will need to do this in the bios.

Possible card was not seated right in agp slot,or drivers were corrupt.

About geforce 8400gs gen2 tc1g 64bit ddr2, it is okey to run in window7 32bit. i already install and run but only read 512mb.

There should be no reason why this card won't work with Windows 7 32bit, it could be as simple as your Graphics drivers are out of date. I recommend downloading the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card at the Nvidia website.

Just remember graphics RAM and SDRAM are two completely different things so they don't add up.
As far as I know the 8400GS is a 256MB card.

Hi, I have an EVGA GeForce 6200 AGP, 256MB DDR2

This is a common problem, you need to clear the CMOS which will also reset the BIOS settings. Here's a few ways you can do that:

Help about mainboard MSI-7312 ver 1.0

ya u can purchase AGP8x graphic card. But
AGP8x slots become old, now PCIExpress 16x is in the market it is better, advance gives higher performance for games and software than AGP gives.
AGP is also costly than PCIE graphic cards.
So, i want to suggest u that u should purchase Intel Original Board
of G965, G45 series boards it has lots of benefits configuration with DDR2, 4SATA ports, PCIE-16x and u not need to purchase graphic card
because these board supports T&L it has 256MB to 384MB inbuilt graphics which can play most of the high graphics games without graphic card. I am to using G965RY board with 384MB inbuilt. but company has stop manufacturing this board. Now more better boards have launched in the market which is better then 965RY.
Now its upon u what to do. Good Luck

Hi, my display card on a acer aspire t310 died. Which card do i need to get? AGP PCI-e?

AGP video cards are the best and latest generation video cards. Depending upon your requirements, especially it you play games that have high graphics requirements, go for the G-Force graphics card with as much video RAM as possible. Check out the various G-Force graphics cards.

GPU heat/fan problem

ikegon,

First the temp on your card is operating at pretty normal standards. Most GPU's operate anywhere from 45-65 deg idle up to 75-125 deg under load. Your card is pretty much fine where its at but replacing the idle heat sync with an actual fan will help to cool the unit down.

You should find gpu coolers that hook up to the 4-pin 12 volt power connectors usually found to most of the hardware compenents inside the computer.

However, if you do decide to get a new cooler for your card, at that expense, you may as well look at getting a newer generation card. Like the 9xxx series or late model 8xxx series. These have come down significantly on price and for perhaps 20-30 dollars more can upgrade to a newer card that already has the fan heat sync.
