### Whats the voltage maximum on the cobra walkie talkies

Most lithium small radio batteries are 3.6 volts. If AA or AAA batteries, multiply by 1.5 volts. 4 batteries = 1.5 * 4 = 6 volts MAXIMUM. Rechargeable batteries are 1.2 volts. Your charger would be a much higher voltage because it takes power to "push" the charge into a battery. You didn't say, so I am assuming you want to operate the radio with a wall charger. I've done this by soldering the wires to the battery contacts. You need a higher voltage than 3.6 volts, but milliamps is more important. You need enough milli amps to get the radio to transmit. Too much and it frys, literally. So, this is all on you to decide if the risk is worth it. I use a 5-6 volt power supply set on no more than 1 amp (800 ma is my favorite size) 1 amp = 1000 ma. Let us know if this helped!

Doesn't it just take two standard AAA batteries? They should be available at just about any department store, drugstore, electronics store, office-supply store, or supermarket.

### I have binatone 100 walkie talkies. they have power to them but we cannot talk into them, they just keep bleeping when we try and talk. any suggestions?

• Have you checked your batteries? This radio will not transmit with to low of batteries but it will beep every 15 seconds or so. This radio utilizes AAA batteries.

• The other thing this could be is your pressing "Call" rather than "Talk." That's called "call paging tone." So make sure you press the "Talk" button when you want to transmit your voice because if you press "Call" you will only send a 2 second beep.

### Have (2) Cobra 22 channel Micro talk radios that both just quit together. Only get static when tring to talk on them. Have (4) AAA rechargable in each one that show they are charged up. Both quit at the...

• It is odd to see them both quit just like that. Were you messing with the buttons on one of them when it just quit? Did you happen to change one of the privacy channels on a main channel? The privacy channels isolate a main channel so you can talk on a channel without everyone with a radio hearing you. Make sure the channels on both radios are on only the channels and that no CTCSS or DCS code accidentally got added onto a channel. You should be able to tell by just looking at the screen and you will see the channel you are on and will also indicate a CTCSS or DCS code. Should you see either of them then remove them and retry the radio on a plain channel only.

• Should this fail the you have got some major internal malfunction that happened to happen at the same time and it is time to invest in a new set of radios.
