You can try your local radio shack. They most likely have a power cable that will work on your laptop, and you can check if it was the cable causing the problem, or if the laptop itself really won't boot.

Try using another adapter, sometimne adapter connectors are bad. If not fixed remove the battery and try pressing the power button keeping press the FN key on your key board, if no light on the system, need to replace MotherBoard.
