I want to install xp sp2 on Sata HDD The motherboard is P5RD1-VM but there is error set up did not find any hard drive plz tell me settings of bios to sata compataibale

It's likely a problem with your connection cable from the HDD to the motherboard. The bios shouldn't have to be set up for the HDD to be recognized through a sata port.

How to install SATA HDD for asus motherboard P5RD1-VM?

Do you have previous Seegate Harddisk or SATA one?

If the SATA is installed previoulsy then it is not to much difficult to install a new SATA HDD. But if you are trying to install Sata on Seegate HDD or in combination then it can not be done.

Let me know in either case, with more detail as you can provide here (For OS, Hardware Specification etc)

Thanks

The manual is here: http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5RD1-VM/e2440_p5rd1-vm.pdf (very slow download). Look under Advanced/Southbridge/SATA
