Question about Miele 24 in. G665 Built-in Dishwasher

The water temperature seems to be below that selected. Is there a fix or do I need a serviceman (the detergent is not dissolving properland the dishes are not as clean as normal). The model is G665

Hi,

In this case, i would usually recommend a repairman. There could be many causes for the same.
This could be a problem with your timer or a problem with your heater. You'll need to uninstall the unit, tip it backwards and check the resistance of the heater. It should be between 10 and 50 ohms and if not replace it. If it tests good, replace your timer inside the door. If the element is getting slightly warm, that usually indicates your timer is bad because the contact is only sending partial power instead of the 120 volts needed.

One of the first things to check if the dishwasher detergent is not dissolving is the water temperature that is in the dishwasher. If the water temperature is too cold, it may not be able to dissolve the tablet effectively. . There is no lint filters in these machines,
It is automatically pumped out with the drain water.

Finish dishwashing product does not dissolve


Many dishwashing detergents need a water temperature of 140 degrees to dissolve. If your water is at the correct temperature, the only other suggestion I have is to make sure the detergent dispense is not blocked by large objects such as baking sheets, frying pans etc. If the dispenser cannot open fully, the detergent won't dissolve.

The detergent packet doesn't dissolve. The dishwasher seems to go through the cycles ... the dishes are wet. However I find the detergent packet in the bottom of the dishwasher.


Hello- Water flow, temperature, and pressure inside determine whether this little packet will dissolve.  Sump blockages or pump /motor weakness both effect amount water spraying inside. Some of these packets don't dissolve in time to enter wash water. Start by using powder or gel again. If it still leaves soap residue, other pump/motor issues exist. Detergent packs will not dissolve


check the water temperature, run hot water at the adjacent sink before pushing start on the dishwaher, or switch to powder, is your detergent door opening ? do not block the detergent door with long objects like spatulas etc.
