Most likely your controller is the issue. If you bought it used, it could be damaged or miswired. If you bought it new, then it's more likely miswired. Try playing with a different controller to see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then take Game Stop one back and get a replacement. If it does, then it's more likely an issue with your system.
