Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

My new H2O Mop Ultra (Danoz) seems to heat up ok then when the light switches to green and I start using it, the orange light comes back on as well as the green. Produces steam to start with but then it starts to spit water too and everything ends up wet. Any ideas on whats wrong or should I just send it back?

That is a major hardware fault, I have seen this numerous times with these H2O mop's... They seem to either work perfectly for a long while or have problems right off the bat. You definitely want to send this unit back and either get a refund or at least have them send you a new one.
Thanks Tim

My h2o mop won't steam. How do i fix it?

If your H2O mop will not steam:
1. Ensure you have followed the operating instructions.
2. Ensure you have followed the troubleshooting instructions.

If the unit fails to produce steam:
3. Switch off the power at the outlet.
4. Look at the water reservoir. Inside you will see a flexible tube with a cone on the end. Tilt the unit or give it a gentle shake to submerge the cone in water.
5. With the cone submerged, switch on the power supply and follow the normal instructions. The unit should produce steam as normal.

Note: Unless the cone is submerged in water, the unit will not steam.

Try running a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water, turn on & let run through if this dosn't work take the mop head off ( unplugged of course) & poke a needle or paper clip through the hole replace head & try vinegar solution agian. It worked for mine you need to clean out lime scale.

My brand new h2o mop won't steam. Green light comes on and thats it.

bought it a few years ago - I used it a few times and it was fair but did leae a lot of water on the floors. My wife had wanted it as it was supposed to be a miracle device, but she had some health issues and not able to do heavy housework. She is better now and decided to try this miracle device she had wanted so bad - so we took it out and no steam - so this would be it's 3rd use and it's was dead. I'm a bit of a tinkerer so decided to take the thing apart/clean the nozzles etc per the troubleshooting guide. Well, none of the obvious/accessable nozzles were clogged, and the filter seemed to pass air and water ok (probably does have to be changed due to time vs uses. Anyway, took the unit apart and ended up having to take the pump motor apart - there is a little nozzle/connecter on the back of the motor that passes the water into the heating chamber. cleaned that with a pin - put it back together, and tons of steam shooting half way across the room. So - she did the floors, they are wet but clean. Bottom line - does an ok job but leaves a lot of water behind, and it appears the internal nozzles can be a problem, and not something the average householder would want or be capable of fixing. (they do say you can try using WD-40 in the unit to clear nozzles - not sure how it would get through to the pump nozzle, but maybe this would work ??
Anyway - may end up buying some more filters as we will want to get a few more uses out of this thing for our $100 bucks, but will stay away from them in the future (go back to the wet swiffer - does about the same job but much less cost and hassle).
