Hi just read your posting. Now, when the hot and cold lights flash at the same time it means that you are not getting enough or no hot or cold water.Remove the cold and hot inlet hoses from the machine end and put the ends into a bucket. Now turn the taps on to see if you have water coming out the hot and cold hose and if the water pressure is adequate.Try a cold fill on the wash cycle and see how it goes.please reply and let me know if there is water coming out of the hoses at a good pressure and also what water temp do you select on the wash cycle.Looking forward to your reply.

Cold water valve not working. have checked that water is at outlet of cold water tap. Can you help? thank you

Water Valve Test
When in Diagnostic Mode, the WASH TEMP UP button turns the hot water valve on. The Hot LED is on when the hot valve is on. The WASH TEMP DOWN button turns the cold water valve on. The Cold LED is on when the cold valve is on.

DIAGNOSTIC MODE
Turn the power on at the power point but off at the machine. Press and hold the WASH TEMP DOWN button and then the POWER button until the machine gives 2 short beeps and lights up. Release buttons when the beeps indicate diagnostic mode has been entered.

There maybe up to 3 filters cold water line. There is sometimes 1 at each end of the water hose itself and also in the valve which can be removed with pliers. (see picture)

Undo the 2 screws at the back of the buttons panel
Undo the connection of the valve
If you are good with a multimeter check that there is about 65 ohms resistance across the terminals of the valve. If not, then replace the valve.
Also sometimes the workings inside the valve can jam shut so replace the valve.

Gw11 stops mid cycle and beeps and lights 2 and 7 are lit up anybody know what the error code is

Is it model GWL11? There is no model GW11. On most other models that code indicates there is a fault in the water pressure transducer which measures the water level. Unfortunately the motor controller module needs to be replaced.

I have a fisher n paykel gw11 it stops in wash cycle and fills so slowly the hot n cold water blinks on n does a musical beep. i ordered a new cold water valve, but i cant get the thing apart to see the...

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
this is a very common issue with these machines
what the problem is most of the time is that the water inlet valve that the hoses connect to has done 1 of 3 things
this valve will clog up with deposits and need to be cleaned out so check that first see if you can see inside of it and check the screen on the hose itself to ensure that it is clean.
If it is then ensure that you do indeed have adequate water pressure coming out of both of the hoses and make sure they are straight if so than the only thing that can be wrong is the water inlet valve itself
This is because this valve has a solenoid for the hot and one solenoid for the cold and when the valve starts to fail the valve will partially shut thus resulting in the water not getting in the machine very quickly ok
If you feel like you can do the repairs if needed please post me a comment and i can get you the proper repair procedures for this machine i will need the make and model number ok?
Hope all of this has helped
Best regards Mike

Will not advance automatically through cycles. Ha...

I would have thought it was the board too! does it beep when it stops? if it does then it should be putting up a fault code.top row of lights..CHeck that you have both the hot & cold hoses connected & turned on at the taps.even if you are not useing hot water to wash with, turn them both on anyway. Some machines require this regardless of wether you are useing hot.The reason for this is F&P have built into their machines to give a little squirt of hot water to maintain a certain level of cold wash.Make sure also that hot hose is going to hot valve & cold to cold.

Fisher and Paykel GW11 not staying hot

WHEN I CALLED FISHER AND PAYKEL PARTS CENTER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM . THIS IS THE REPY I RECEIVED. "THE HOT WATER FILLS IN FOR A SHORT TIME, THEN THE DIRVERTER RECIRCULATES FOR A FEW MORE MINUTES, THEN FILLS THE REMAINING WATER LEVEL YOU HAVE SELECTED WITH COLD WATER. THE REASON BEING: (GET THIS) FISHER PAYKEL SAYS THAT THE AMOUNT OF HOT WATER AT THE BEGINING OF THE
CYCLE IS SUFFICIENT TO DISOLVE THE DETERGENT. AFTER THE DEVERTER CYCLE (THE SIDE RINSE AS YOU CALLED IT) THE REMAINING WILL BE COLD WATER FILL".
HE ALSO STATED MANY PEOPLE CALL HIM ON THIS AND HE SAID IN THE MANUAL IT IS EXPLAINED THAT THIS IS THE WAY THE MACHINE WORKS. SO MUCH FOR ECOSMART

Washer won't stop beeping and can not change cycle selections

what light is flashing when it beeps. You might have to check and see if you are getting water to both Hot and Cold on the machine. Or your door might be closed all the way
