How do I know that the pump needs replacing on this. My water hardly comes out, but I was thinking it was the switch not making connection. My flow wheel won't turn, Once it a great while it will. I have replaced O rings, the screws that attach the upper handle to the attachment case, they sent the wrong length. I replace the shampoo and lid deal. cleaned everything good.

Remove the cap for the flow indicator, then there 6 screws to remove to take off the top, before removing the top, turn the smart mix valve to about the half way point so the piston won't fall off. When you are ready to re-install the top cover, just before pushing it all of the way down, turn the smart mix valve to the water only setting, then push it into place, re-install the screws and the flow indicator parts.

Can't get the water to spray out when I turn it on?

When it doesn't dispense water or solution that means that the pump belt needs to be replaced. You can get a replacement and view the manual here:

Bex bissell delux carpet washer is not sucking water up, can you help thanx.

I had the same problem, take the water tank out, look on the bottom, is there a red seal on the tank? If not, its either lost (can get new one here http://www.4bissell.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=947370&query=7920%2de) or more likely its stuck in the bottom, if it is get a screwdriver and prise it out of the base and put it on the tank. All should be well. Regards Paul

Either the heater unit is blocked, clean it out, or I had the same problem, take the water tank out, look on the bottom, is there a red seal on the tank?
