Have a read at this article. I assume you are using ASIO4ALL if not then you should.

http://www.image-line.com/support/FLHelp/html/recording_audio_USBmic.htm

Specifically this part:

Note about latency: USB microphones generally only allow you to hear the sound being recorded after it has passed through FL Studio. As the latency of USB microphones depends on the ASIO4ALL latency settings, there may be a troublesome delay between the sound made and it being reproduced from your speakers or headphones. For example, low latency monitoring is particularly important to vocalists as high latencies cause a distracting echo effect. The only solution to this problem is to lower your buffer length settings (there are limits) or obtain a new soundcard with direct-monitoring.

I have a mxl 990 microphone and its hooked up to a Pro tools LE 8 Mbox Mini . when im recording on protools or any other software with this mic, i hear a static/popping sound and it records the popping...

Try increasing the latency. Depending on your computer, it may not be able to handle low latency levels. Latency is a measure of the delay between the time you make a sound and the time the computer records that sound. With the Mbox mini, the unit for latency is the number of samples the driver collects before sending them to an application as input. Lower latency can make recording easier and more accurate, but not all computer systems can operate at the lowest latencies without introducing noise. Open the Mbox mini dialog and select the latency tab. experiment with higher latency levels and see if it goes away. somervta_0.jpgThis is what the dialogue might look like. another solution would be to try a different DAW. I had the same problem with my Fast Track Pro in ProToolsand it worked fin on Reaper, Garageband and Logic.

MY WNR2000 router has High latency and very slow throughput. I have not been able to isloate the problem. I tried to connect directly to my modem that my ISP provided and i was getting excellent throughput...

I also had this problem when I was using the 1.2.0.8 Firmware. I "upgraded" to the 1.2.3.7. Doing so solved the latency issue, but has provided me with a whole new batch of connection problems (dropping connection randomly).

HI there I'm using a Korg synth with my M audiophile and I have a latency problem, I can access the usb control panel but it doesn't let me change the latency or sample rates can anyone help

the latency is in the sound card.
usually you can set the CPU cache to 512 in a program or synthesizer.
Your Korg softwear may be able to ajust this if it is on your pc. Most PC have the sound card built into the mother board thereby not cutting the performance.
2. You will have to purchase a external sound card for your Audio and midi interface to get the least amount of latency.
The PC cabinet with all it components has a lot of EMI (Electromagnetic interference) that cause some of the latency issues with these device. If you can live with 2ms latency which the human ear can't determine then you can render a acceptable audio and midi setup, The Ableton Live 8 series has a latency setting for the CPU in the program. Download the demo and see if you notice a difference.

Can the iPhone internet tethering work for the ps3

Probably not, for two reasons:
1. Tethering usually involves use of a PC or other device which has software to enable the tethering on the phone.
2. Even if you were able to get this working by sharing a connection from a PC to a router or other network hardware, you run into an issue of latency. A hard wired connection such as a cable or DSL modem has very low latency, where a 3G connection isn't quite as quick to react.. Think of latency as a "reaction time". When playing an action game, latency means that there will be a delay before your action is seen by other players, and also a delay before their actions are seen by you. Even if that latency is only 100 ms (1/10 of a second), it still isn't quick enough to provide a realistic interactive environment.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

Audio Latency. Need faster computer

Windows has a lot of programs running in the background which eat up the system resources and that you do not need for Cubase.
Do a CTR+ALT+DEL and end task on everything except Explorer & Systray, start Cubase and see if that helps.

144 drops out

To see if it's your hardware, up your latency settings to "highest" via the tascam control panel. Also, be sure you are familiar with the various ways to up latency in your recording package: in cubase it's under device settings, vst bay. If this works, you know it's some setting somewhere. Try disabling your internet connections and setting pc performance to "background services" Also, read a pc optimization guide for daws - they are everywhere. Tascam will email one to you if you ask.

Lastly - try the asio4all driver. This fixed my pops, but when I understood all the various latency settings and set the tascam to highest latency, I could use the tascam driver. Highest latency on my p4 3.0 2gb ram pc means 12ms input and my output is 61ms.

If the asio4all driver works - it's a likely latency issue.

Cakewalk Sonar - Edirol UA-1000 crackles on playback!

That's a latency issue it sounds like.
There's a slider under "Audio" .

Move it in increments towards "slow", test it as you go.
Leave it at the highest setting possible that doesn't crackle.

I've heard this so bad that it sounds like a gun going off.
It scares the Hell out of you when it happens !
