Question about Hitachi 32UX01S TV
This is usually a failure of the vertical IC and its accompanying circuit components. Look for a small flat IC attached to a heatsink. It should be marked LA7837 or something similar. Check the solder connections first. Try resoldering them. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the IC (cost about $20 or so). Also check the capacitors in the same circuit. If these are bad, the picture will look stretched or squished a bit.
