Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
You need to remove the dispenser cup and then remove a 7/16" bolt out of the top of the agitator to remove the agitator,under here there is an aluminum piece at the top of the wash basket with a spanner nut on the top holding it,remove the spanner nut and this will let you remove the wash basket,then remove this aluminum piece called the "Drive-Block" it will be worn on the edges and is letting parts slip by each other rather than meshing,this is your noise
