Of course the machine does recieve power, when i program it to dry the drum does not spin and it begins to smell like burnt rubber. I just need to know how to fix it because i didnt recieve a manual with the dryer and the solution you sent me didnt help at all.

i already removed the panel and moved the drum manually and the belt is still on. it seems like its the motor that is not turning

Confirm first if the drum light turns on when the door is open in order to make sure that power is getting into the dryer. Check power from the power outlet and the circuit breakers. provide as much information in order to make the troubleshooting quick and accurate.

Remove the top panel and check if the belt is still on and if the motor is running. If the belt is still on, turn the drum manually while the dryer is plugged in and making the burnt rubber smell. Also confirm if you can hear the motor running.

Does the drum turn freely when turned manually while the dryer is plugged in and started? Do you hear any sound coming from the motor?

Remove the console and the front panel then the lint filter duct to access the outlet thermostat on the blower housing. Once accessed, bypass the thermostat then plug and start the dryer. Replace the outlet thermostat including outlet thermistor if the dryer runs.

Check the continuity of the motor windings then the belt switch. Replace the control board if nothing is wrong with those two.

Loud banding noise in my LG Tromm DLE7177

Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

I have an LG washer that smells like rotten clothes. My clothes come out smelling real bad. I checked inside and noticed that the rubber seal around the door is holding moldy rotton gunk. It's not self...

Run a cup each of baking soda and vineger thru a hot wash. Might have to do this a couple of time if smell really bad.

Take out the unit where the liquid soap, softner, etc goes and clean by hand.

Soak a cloth in vinegar and clean the inside of the rubber around the tub.

And finally DO NOT LEAVE THE DOOR CLOSED IF NOT IN USE.

LG TROMM WM2496HSM MILDEW & MUST SMELL

I have had the same problem with mine. I have started taking the rubber seal off at least once a month to clean it with bleach and water. I would not recommend doing this unless you are handy with tools. You might try cleaning the seal with bleach and water while it remains on the machine. Careful to pull the inner sealing lip down to get to the "Slime" behind it. Good Luck

LG TROMM DRYER DLE5977 Burning Smell

It is a POS dryer, we have the same one. My suggestion get another dryer. We vacuumed it all out (don't you have a problem with the lint catcher?) Then it started loud pounding noise, which a lot of people seem to have the same problem, then our sensor went out and we had to dry the clothes 5-10 x's...now crack in stainless steel drum and is chewing up all our expensive clothes!

LG TROMM - awful smell while washer is running

Use the aafesh tablets as instructed, this will clear hoses that have developed some mold, also inspect drain at the wall, these get moldy and as machine runs, smell comes out of there as well.
