Question about Olympus FE-370 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I left my camera(in its case), outside on my patio overnight. It did not rain but it was very humid and there was moisture on it. Now it will not turn on. I checked the battery and it has a full charge.I also openned the case to make sure all moisture was evaporated.

Hi,

Unfortunately, this is an internal failure. You could pull out the battery. Clean the battery connectors with a cleaning solution. Make sure that it is free from dust, dirt and rust. Then, put the battery back and see if that solves the problem.Make sure that the battery is fine.It should not be swelled. If you have an AC adapter, try to use that unless you could also attach the camera to a PC via a USB cable. This would give you some indication whether the battery is fine or not. If this would not work, then you need to open the camera to inspect and test the same.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Water in oil of John Deere L108. Causes?

If the mower was sitting outside and the ambient temperature is hit during the day and cold at nite, the engine and the the fuel system can be affected by condensation. If you are in a humid climate the effects will be sooner.'usually when you run an engine the heat of the engine will evaporate any moisture, but if it has been sitting for a while you can develop water in the oil. Or someone left it outside with the oil dipstick out or loose in the rain. Hope this helps.

Go to E-Bay and search your cameras make and model and they sell a special jacket that the camera fits inside to protect it from the elements.

Water spraying from the exhaust

That is most likely perfectly normal. The catalytic converter in your vehicle is designed to split dangerous hydrocarbons into hydrogen (H) and carbon (C) molecules. Then it adds oxygen (O) molecules to both of them. This produces carbon dioxide (CO2) and dihydrogen monoxide (H2O or water). If it is humid or wet outside at the time, there will be even more water due to the water in the air being drawn into the engine.

Kodak C643 digital camera

Yes, that could cause problems.
I would suggest to sell it on Ebay or some such site for parts or repair, as is.

To fix this one is not worth it, in my opinion.

I NEED TO KNOW WHAT PERCENTAGE MEANS ON A DE-HUMIDIFIER

In plain English, the Percentage setting on your de-humidifier is the percentage of moisture that you want to maintain in the air. Relative humidity level range from about 10% (VERY dry air) to almost 100% (VERY damp air). When relative humidity is 100%, water vapor in the air will turn into rain, condensation, dew, snow or frost. 50% humidity is usually a comfortable level, but that will also depend on air temperature. The more moisture there is in the air, the warmer it feels and conversely. Warm air will hold more moisture than cooler air.

Your body is cooled when moisture on your skin evaporates into the air, carrying body heat with it. As the humidity in the air rises, less of your body moisture is able to evaporate and thus your body feels wamer. Lower humidty allows moisture from your body to evaporate more quickly and you feel cooler, both at the exact same temperature.

Works well but

Yup, they eat energy.

An electric dehumidifier includes a refrigeration cycle that is very similar to a window AC units and refrigerators. They cool the air in the basement to condense and collect water and remove humidity, heat the air as a required consequence of the refrigeration cycle and dump it back to your basement.

Two sources of humidity in basements include warm outside air that naturally cools due to below grade earth contact and water passing from the ground though the floors and walls and evaporating into the basement. Dehumidifiers do most of the work in the summer when higher temperatures outside enable air to hold more water content.

In the winter, cooler outside air contains less moisture by weight eventhough it may be raining and the relative humidity in basement will be less because the air is warmed relative to the outside. The lower moisture content in the winter also absorbs the water passing through the walls and floor.

From an energy perspective, you may want the humidity set NOT below 50%. This will keep humidity below the level mold desires, but prevents the dehumidifier from doing more work and eating more energy than needed. A cheap battery powered temp/humidy meter left in your basement will help. Sources that include the "mold triangle" (temperature, water & food) often separate fact from expensive hype.

If the dehumidifier doesn't keep up, consider adding a moisture barrier to the basement walls and floors such as Dry-lock and floor paints to ****** moisture entry. Moisture barriers act very similar with water as insulation does with heat. They don't eliminate the need for a dehumidifier, but they reduce the work they do and energy they eat.

Condensation

Do you still have condensation, or is the camera just saying you do? how technically skilled are you? Do you feel confident enough to take off the outer cover and let it dry in the sun.
