You will have to increase the referesh rate first and then go into thegame and reset the resolution. The resolution bit is secondary. Ifincreasing the refresh rate works, then you dont have to change theresolution :)
So if i increase the refresh rate,i need to load the game and then ALT + TAB and change the resolution in the windows or what?

Re: Problem with my LG monitor L194WT
First change the referesh rate for your monitor. If that works, then you dont have to change the resolution. If that does not work, try increasing the rate again. Once you can get the game, then try to change the resolution from within the game options, if necessary..

The most common problem with the L194WT monitors is a failure of the power supply board. There are parts called capacitors that fail and can cause the issue you have. Sometimes the power light will just flash, sometimes it takes several minutes to display a picture or even a wavy picture, all of these issues indicate a failing power supply board. These boards can be repaired if you can do a little soldering. The L194WT uses the same power board as the L196WTQ and we have a step by step repair guide with dis-assembly instructions available at http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/lg-l196wtq-bf-lcd-monitor-repair/ Look over the guide and check your board to see if your capacitors have bulged and need to be replaced.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.
Try making sure the video card's Display Settings have the Screen Resolution set to a level that are compatible with your LCD monitor. Try starting at 800x600, applying the settings and testing them, and moving up slowly until it doesn't work anymore, then stay at that same level.

Try using the minimum supported refresh rate. Also set the resolution to the minimum that will please you (for example 1024x768). See whether the lag still occurs. (Use the nVidia control panel to change the settings).
If there is no lag, you can increase the resolution step by step (if you feel the resolution is too low) and keep on increasing until lag occurs. Set the res just below that value.
