We can interchange the functions of the buttons on your computer's touchpad but if you're talking about replacements then the entire touchpad needs to be replaced

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

On touch pad, the left and right click below the pad, for the mouse, the left button doesn't click anymore?

Since the left button is a primary button it gets used quite a lot thus the button fails at some point in time.

Either the button has broken or the spring mechanism has broken.
Don't worry it can be repaired, claim warranty support if you can. The laptop needs to be partially disassembled and the buttons inspected. The button may need replacing.

Take care!

why not see if OTHER USB works first
barrow a real mouse not that battery dead wireless wonder mouse?
get a real mouse
make sure that works
then put in a new battery in your wireless mouse
RTM it tells you how
USB tests, all so obvious.
use real desktop key board , that work
or USB memory stick , add file to it, see other files you have there>?

only clues here is USB dead, 2 months old.(means new? or new to you?)

next,
in w10
go to CP
then go to device manager
be ONLINE
see yell or red error there that driver stack?
bingo bad driver
reload any that are bad.

end story

Laptop keypad is nt working properly

Hello,

It may have been turned off or misconfigured.

1. Go to the control panel, click on the mouse icon. Under tab Touch Pad ON/OFF click enable.

Then Click on the Advanced tab. Under this tab, you will see a button Advanced feature settings. Click that button and explore the options offered to you.

If you just want the default setting, restore them by clicking the Default button.

Hope it helps.

I have a hp g70 and the touchpad still works, apart from the page drag up and down faclity. please help !!!!

I use a wireless USB mouse on my laptop/notebook they work almost instantly the first time just plug in and installs the software needed from the USB if any very affective. The touchpad on the other had might be replaceable but it might cost more replacing it. I would start with talking to a HP Rep on what they charge for a replacement piece if available hope this is helpful!!
