Hi,

Your laptop has a feature/utility that turns off the hard drive when bumped to something or move. This feature is to protect the hard drive from data corruption and hard drive failure. It is like a shock sensor. Check for the software of that feature and see if you can decrease the sensitivity.

Hope this helps.

Check whether memory card is detected or not from the gallery, if it is so then you better format it and reinsert or try with another memory card. Most of all this is virus and file corruption problem, Good luck..

Usb device not detected after loading software and it telling me to connect

Go to device manager and make sure that the scanner is popping up under imaging devices. If it is showing up under Other devices unplug it and plug it back in this should repop the new found hardware wizard. Next your way through the wizard and this should install the driver fully. If it is popping up in device manager under Imaging devices make sure you have the proper scanner selected in your scanning software. If you cant see it in device manager at all check your connections make sure the scanner is on if it can be turned on and then switch your usb cable with a different one.

Feature Manager Pop up & back up file has been loaded.

I received a pop-up that said, '' Corruption hads been found detected in Feature Manager, back-up file has been loaded. Sierra Wireless Aircard 881 Most of the time you can repair the feature file by opening and closing AT&T Communication Manager (ACM). If that doesn't work try this... 1. Close ACM. 2. On you computer browse to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Communication Manager. 3. Delete the files called featuremanager.xml.rc4 and featuremanagerBackup.xml.RC4. 4. Open ACM. 5. If your still having the problem delete the entire Communication Manager directory in Application Data. 6. Uninstall and Reinstall ACM.
Try this and let me know if it helped you Thank you, Techlahj

When opening wireless manager says there is corruption infeature manger

Try and find the exact model number of your wireless card and go on line to the manufacturers site and see if there are software drivers for the card. Download and run or open them on your computer- should fix the issue. May need to re-boot computer after the new driver software installation.

Songs are gone

Memeory corruption.

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

If the machine is a Dell with DellControlPoint, open start, run then type msconfig and hit enter. Choose the Startup tab and find the startup item named "Dell" with the Command from "C:\Program Files\Dell\Dell Control Point\Connection Manager\Dell.UCM.exe" and uncheck the box. Hit Ok, then reboot your computer.

Philips GoGear 2GB memory corruption

You have to do the "update" in the Philips Device Manager (make sure you are connected to the internet when you do) to repair the corruption: Recovery Mode for Philips' GoGear
Open the Philips Device Manager (Start à All Programs à Philips Digital Audio Player à SAXXX à Philips Device Manager) and click on the “Repair” tab.  Then click on the “Repair” button to start the repair process.  Most of the time, when your player is in that state, the Device Manager will not recognize that your GoGear is plugged in.  If this is the case: Disconnect the player from the PC, and make sure the mp3 player is turned off. Hold in the volume + button on the mp3 player, and reconnect the player to your pc while holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the volume + for 10-15 seconds until a "Found New Hardware Wizard" pops up. It should recover your device if there isn't anything internally wrong with the player. Warning: this procedure will result in your songs being erased off the player, so they will have to be reloaded.

Philips GoGear Firmware Upgrade
You need to get the latest firmware upgrade from the Philips website:
1. Go to www.philips.com/support
2. Enter your country/language
3. Enter your model # SA6045 or whatever
4. Click on the link for your exact model # (the one w/o the "B" in it)
5. Click on "Software & Drivers"
6. Download the updated "Device/Firmware Manager"
7. Once installed, open the Philips Device Manager
8. Click on the "Update" tab, then the "Update" button (with your mp3 player connected to the computer, of course)
9. Your Mp3 players firmware will update automatically
If you do not have the latest version of the Philips Device Manager installed (the latest is the version from the Philips website), then clicking the "Update" button will give you a false positive saying "The firmware on your device is already up to date."

Is your tv wired to a cable box or an HD antenna?

Case 1: If your signal is weak, then the chances are that the feedback from your tv to the receiver's processor cannot interpret a Dolby Digital signal.

Case 2: Check the TV MENU AUDIO setting. Does your TV have a ON/OFF feature for the optical output, or any aux. speaker outputs?
