I just read all your logs, after reading the logs what i can suggest you is to get it repaired in the service center becuase even if you try a software update if the screen id not working u wont be able to do anything.
Get it serviced thats the only solution.

Even after calibrating if the issue remains the same this is a clear indication that there is a problem with the touch screen it self.

In order to fix this problem you need to take it a service center because there is a problem in the mainboard from where the touch functionality comes from.

However if you want to try on your own,
you may open it use a hair dryer to remove moisture and then reset the unit and check if it helps. If it doesn't please contact the manufacturer for help.

Touch problem

Hello,

Nokia designed the N97 with a touch-screen calibration program to remedy problems with the touch screen. Opening the touch-screen calibration program requires you to use the touch screen, which can prove difficult. You're forced to judge where to tap the screen because the screen isn't recording the precise location of your taps. To find the touch-screen calibration program, open the main menu, select "Settings" and then "Touch Input." The program provides on-screen instructions to help you finish calibrating the screen.

DCS T70 LCD does work properly .I mean to say if i try to use one function another function gets started instead of desired function

Hi,

Based on the information you've provided, it seems that the touch screen panel is not aligned. You can try Calibrating the touch screen to resolve the issue.
Calibration option is in the Main Settings 1 Menu of the Camera. Calibration option enables you to perform calibration when the touch panel buttons do not react at the appropriate points where you touch. You can use the paint pen, touch the X mark displayed on the screen. The X mark moves on the screen. Once the calibration option is finished successfully, the touch screen should work.
The Calibration option can be done only if the Menu is accessible.
You can also perform a power reset before performing the Calibration.

Performing a manual power reset

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.
This should resolve the issue.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Nintendo DS touch screen not working properly

Turn the ds on without a game in it and go to the settings icon (looks like a tiny ds) on the bottom middle of the screen then go to the far right yellow icon and it will re-calibrate the touch screen and let you know if calibration was a success.
