Are you hardwired to the router? If not hardwire into it and try again. If you already are, buy a new one, its most likely shot.

If possible, to rule out the modem as the cause, connect a computer directly to the internet(bypassing the router entirely). If it is the router, you could try flashing it back to factory defaults and reconfigure. Log into the router's firewall feature and see if port 443 is blocked to the outside--this could cause https connections to fail.

I think you will need to reconfigure the router.
You can access the Internet when you connect the computer to the modem. That means the modem is working fine.
Connect the modem to the Internet port on the router and computer to port 1 on the router. Press and hold the reset button on the rotuer for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it.
Follow this link to reconfigure the router.

Typically, a good router will allow you to configure it only bvia a wired connection, to prevent unauthorized remote users trying to hack it.
Please try using a network cable (patch cord) to connect to the router's LAN socket directly and attempt reconfiguration then.

Are you doing it on the laptop.
If you are doing it on a wireless computer ( even if it is connected with the cable ), disable the wireless network connection.
So that it will not use the wireless network and it will be conncted only with the wired connection.
If you are facing the same problem again and again then I believe you will need to reset the router and reconfigure the router. But if you reset the router , you will loose all the settings of the router and you will need to reconfigure the router.
If your computer is able to go on line with the wired connection then I will suggest you to upgrade the firmware of the router.
Download the firmware of the router and upgrade the firmware.

Whenever i am using wireless, my internet will shot down. How can i fix this problem? thanks.

With the wired connection is it working fine ?
If yes and if you have only problem with the wireless connection then try to upgrade the firmware of the router.
Firmware is the software of the router.
Download the latest firmware of the router. Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the firmware of the router.
Open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware of the router, reset the router.
On the router you will find a small reset button, hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. Now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router according to the Internet service provider.

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.

How to fix my wired router

You can try first to reset the router to refrest its settings, To reset it press and hold the reset button for 25 seconds while the power is on, Then after that if you still have the setup CD just run it again to reconfigure the router. If you dont have the setup CD you can manually reconfigure the router to manually configure it I advice you to call Dlink tech support so they can walk you through with the process and reconfiguring the router for internet connection so your 2 computer can have internet via the router...

Hope that helps.............

The network is working but I can't get the internet

If the internet is not working first thing to check here is the internet connection from your modem without the router, make sure that your computer can access the internet when computer is connected directly to modem, if no internet without the router you need to contact your ISP for that, but if there's internet without the router you need to reset and reconfigure the router.....if you have the setup CD of the router just run that to reconfigure it back.........
