I have a HL4040CN copier. When the message comes up that ink is low, how can I tell what color ink cartridge needs replacing

You're just going to have to keep printing until you see which cartridge is getting dry. It'll be either the black one or the colour one. This way you won't buy the wrong cartridge. If you print black text and it starts to come out grey then it's the black cartridge that needs to be replaced. The same with colour, if the picture looks faded then you'll need a new colour cartridge.

I replaced the black ink with a full refill and my printer won't print anything at all. It is telling me that the cartridge is full. What can I do?

You need to use only cartridge brother original,if you use refill cartridge the printer is not printing. You need to replace the print head of the printer because you use refill cartridges. In the future use only genuine Brother cartridges. If a have been useful please give me a vote :)

I have a dell Photo printer 926. The system tells me the black ink in low and in need of replacing soon but when I print now nothing comes out printed on the document.

Hi:
If you have replaced the cartridge make sure you also remove the protective film protecting the print heads from the new cartridge. Do an alignment on the print heads and also a cleaning, usually the cleaning cycle will purge ink from the cartridge to allow printing to resume.

Says replace ink cartridge

I have replaced my ink cartridges numerous times and they are still full. It keeps telling me the ink cartridge needs replacing. It won't print and the red light keeps blinking. I have disconnected the usb and the power. I have only had this printer for about a year. It won't scan or print. Its a Kodak Easyshare 5300. The HomeCenter AiO is disconnected so how do I contact anyone from Kodak?

Have changed Ink Black and Colour... Stil getting error Message.

Make sure the tape covering the hole on the bottom of the black cartridge is removed. and then go into the printers folder and right click on your printer icon and go into the properties of that printer and there should be something in there to tell it that you changed cartridges and you can also print a test page as well.

My Epsn Stylus PHOTO R300 says I need to replace an ink catridge however it does not tell me which one is out of ink. How do I find out which one to buy?

Hi,

If an ink cartridge is empty, the red error light will remain solid. You can check the status of the of the ink cartridges by looking at the icons on the control panel. Press the down arrow button to scroll down to MORE OPTIONS. The level of ink will be shown on the screen and the ink that will be out will have cross on it.

Please follow the steps below to replace one or more cartridges.

***NOTE***
-You cannot print if any ink cartridge is expended.
-Leave the empty cartridge installed in the printer until you have obtained a replacement.
-To ensure good results on your printouts, we recommend using Genuine Epson Ink cartridges. Epson does not recommend the use of refilled inks or 3rd party ink cartridges.

Once you start the ink cartridge replacement procedure, you must complete all the steps in one session.

1. Make sure the printer is powered on, and not printing.
2. Open the printer cover.
3. Do one of the following:

3a. If the red error light is on (cartridge is empty) press the MAINTENANCE BUTTON.
3b. If the red error light is flashing (cartridge is low) press the MAINTENANCE BUTTON. You will now see the Cartridge Replacement highlighted in Advanced Settings. Select OK.
3c. If the error light is off (outdated cartridge), press the DOWN ARROW MENU button to choose MORE OPTIONS. Press OK, then select INK CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT.

4. You will now see a message on the display telling you that the ink cartridge replacement will begin. Press OK to continue. The print head will move to the replacement position.
5. Open the cartridge cover. Press in the tab on the back of the cartridge, and lift the cartridge out of the printer. Dispose of it carefully.
6. Unwrap the new ink cartridge. DO NOT touch the green circuit boards, or remove ANY labels.
7. Lower the cartridge into the holder, with the green circuit board facing the front. Gently push the cartridge down until it is firmly seated.
8. If you need to replace another ink cartridge, repeat steps 5-7 above.
9. Close the cartridge cover. Press the front corner of the cartridge cover forward to lock the cover into place.
10. Press OK, and close the printer cover. The printer will begin charging the ink delivery system. Once charging is complete, press OK to finish.

Epson Stylus C86 printing problem

There can be problems with cheap cartridges. Try another brand just to be sure. But if the printer is faulting- I don't think it is - it will have to be replace, there not a repair option. It it is fairly new - try the Epson web site - a low cost swap out replacement may be on offer,
