We bought the DVD player a while ago and for the moment it's useless as we can't unlock it. We're living in Sweden so either to make regionfree or change the region to number 2 instead.

-   Hi guys...i am from South Africa where we use Region 2 DVD's (same as UK) i tried to unlock this Sony DVP-FX820 dvd player but no luck. One thing i will try is to use DVD decrypter and rip the dvd i want to play and then copy it to a disc...this should be now Region Free....i havent tried it but it should work. Takes about 20 or so mins a disc. Hope i helped. Please if anyone has a hack for this player i would greatly appreciate it. - jamixx08@gmail.com-   Guest
