Starview SV431USB keyboard problem

I have a Starview SV431USB kvm switch, it was working fine until recently, when I connected to PC(s), the keyboard that connect to the kvm doesn't work. Because I can connect a keyboard without going through the kvm and it will work, so it's not the keyboard itself. Does anyone know how to fix this or is there a way to reset the kvm switch? Thanks.

I have a Starview SV431USB kvm switch, it was working fine until recently, when I connected to 3 PC(s), the keyboard and the mouse that connect to the kvm doesn't work when I switch away and then back to the PC. Because I can connect a keyboard without going through the kvm and it will work, so it's not the keyboard itself. I then have to restart the computer to get the keyboard to be recognized. Does anyone know how to fix this or is there a way to reset the kvm switch? Thanks.

SOURCE: i just bought a 2-port kvm switch model no.

You can conveniently change ports on the Switch through a keyboard command
sequence using the “SCROLL LOCK” key and up and down arrow keys. To send
commands to the Switch, press the “SCROLL LOCK” key twice within two seconds.
You will hear a beep for confirmation. Then you can press the up or down arrow
keys to switch between ports.

Recently, this KVM switch would intermittently lose connection with the keyboard and mouse, now it doesn't see either of them. Is there something I can do other than replacing it with another? Please...

Have you attempted to use another keyboard and mouse for testing? If the results are the same your only alternative to replacing the unit is to take it apart and check the solder joints where the PS2 connections meet the board. You may find some that have come loose. If so just resolder them down and you should be ok to go!
