Question about Toshiba Satellite (K000004080) Motherboard

Open Question

My technician said that my processor is not heating up and that's why it isn't giving any display. He said I would have to replace the motherboard and that's the only solution. So, my problem is that my laptop powers up but no display. I want a TOSHIBA SATELLITE A200-1CR's motherboard which isn't available here in Pakistan. So, if you can be of any help?

I'm really sorry but I'd say your laptop is damaged beyond repair. To try and identify and replace every component that suffered damage would most likely exceed the price of buying a new laptop.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but that's my two cents worth.

SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite L310 problem , display cannot appears

If the screen went blank after the driver install, sometimes clicking the mouse on the screen will bring the picture back. It sounds like the monitor is having a conflict with the resolution the driver is throwing out. Reboot the laptop and when you see the Toshiba splash screen, tap F8 until you see the multiple boot menu. Scroll to Safe Mode with networking and reboot. If the screen comes up, go to the control panel > System > hardware > display adapter > click on the plus sign and double click the reported on driver tab and select roll back driver > click yes to any prompts and click ok. Reboot normally and see if that clears the problem.

Since you have measured the voltage on the motherboard I must presume you are saying there is no power "indicator light" on computer. If this is not the case please clarify. If the light is absent please test the battery as these laptops are not designed to work without a battery or with a dead battery. Operating without a battery can spike the motherboard or other components and cause failure due to overvoltage. If you do have a power indicator light then next observe whether the bootup is proceeding with a beep after the POST (power on self test) and whether you can hear the movement of the hard disk drive... possibly indicating failed LCD display or display drivers/setup. Press F8 after the POST beep to get to safe mode display drivers.

Laptop when turned on display on screen "fan

When the laptop or PC is used, its processor and RAM gets heated. To keep it cool, a fan is used which circulates the air in the board. If there is no cooling system in the laptop, its circuit could be damaged by over heating. I think the fan in your laptop has malfunctioned or it is jammed by something. Turn over your laptop and try see if there is anything stuck in the blades of the fan. If there is anything, then take it out and then try to start your laptop. If there is nothing, then there is high possibility that the fan has malfunctioned. It would be better if you take it to service centre to get it repaired. Hope this helps you!!

My foxconn 45CMV series continous on beepin g and no display, what i have to do?

When a motherboard beeps, it's usually because the memory is defective and isn't being recognized, or the processor isn't seated properly.
I'd remove the memory and reinstall it, in case in became unseated.

No display

After all your troubleshooting, I think this is likely to be as a result of your processor over-heating, maybe because of your environment, or because the fan is not cooling the processor properly again. Therefore my suggestion would be for you to unscrew your system (If you can do it by yourself), and try to clean, or better still replace your processor fan.
If you cant do it by yourself, you can easily get a technician to do it for you. This solution is actually if your processor is not yet burnt.
But if your processor is burnt, then you might have to change it to a new compatible one. but before changing it, try to test the motherboard with another working, compatible processor first, just to be more sure.
Then always make sure that your PC is in a well ventilated, cool environment and that the environment is free from dusts.
Hope this helps you out.

Motherboard display problem

o that is simple bro, see whats happening is that the processor was in the process of burning as a result it would create alot if heat constantly so sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't, so what u can do is replace it with one with the same socket size and that should do the trick.....
