Question about Ovens

1 Answer

I have a Whirlpool Accubake double oven Model # GBD307PRB01. The panel display has just gone out. When I try to enter a command, such as to turn on the oven, I get one short beep, one long beep and three short beeps. As the display is out, I don't know what code this is. I'd like to get a description of this fault code, telling me if I need to replace the display or one of the boards. Also, I'd like to know if I have to pull the entire unit out of the wall (fully or partially) to disconnect the display. I've got the trim pieces off (covering the mounting screws on the sides of the oven front). Also, FYI, I have already turned off the breaker and let it sit for 5 mins, and then powered back on the unit. There was no change in the display

Of course the oven all of a sudden started working normally. i didn't want to change out the part until the problem re-appeared, which it finally did yesterday. i changed out the control board (Part # 6 on the diagram. ) The display is still dark and the oven is acting the same. Do you think it is the Control ***'y or the touchpad?.

This is indicative of the control board failing on your unit, not the display itself. The unit can be found here and I will include a page that shows where it goes as well, you shouldn't need to pull it out too far to get to it.
Here is the part:
# 6 on this schematic:

I had the same exact problem and let me tell you, it is not the control board. I bought a new one and replaced it and the problem persists. So unfortunately, I can't give you the solution but I can tell you it isn't the above suggestion...

Hello Diana,
Their are a few things that should be checked. I know its going to be tough to check on a built in double wall oven but one thing that needs to be checked is if their is 240 volts ac entering the oven(i know the breaker is ok) but the connection at the back of the oven can burn, then the proper voltage wont enter the oven.
Another thing is a high limit thermostat thats inside of the control panel, need to checkif it has blown.
Last thing i can think to check is if 120 volts is at the clock, if not 120vac that explains the blank display

"loc" display

This just happened to me. I have whirlpool double oven accubake. The display went blank and i had to turn the breaker off. I left it off for several hours. When I turned the breaker back on my oven display read "Loc" in big letters to the right of the time. I held the start button down for 5 secs. The display went away and the oven started to work as if nothing had happened. I hope that is stays that way.
