To boot from cd or pendrive, the device needs to be bootable. In otherwords to re install your Operating system, you will need an Operating System Disc.

I have a Mercury PIG31Z motherboard and running on Win 7. Sound drivers are installed, but there is no sound yet. Help plz

Hi, At the task bar can you see the speaker icon if not or there is no sign in it, the driver that you had install is not compatible for windows 7. Try windows 7 auto update sometime that this will correct the problem. Please check the motherboard what kind of sound system it is. the chip label if that is nvidia, realtek, ati, sis etc. Try to download driver for windows 7 at www.realtek.com. maybe this is your sound system driver. Hopefully that this will work for you. Please get back to us if this information helps you solve the problem.

Can mercury pig 31z support i3 processor ?

Mercury PIG31Z has a LGA775 Socket.

There are two types of i3 processors:

Clarkdale Core i3-5xx 2 4 MB LGA 1156 73 W

Arrandale Core i3-3xxM 3 MB µPGA-989 35 W
Therefore no, i3 cannot be installed into that motherboard.
Hope this helps!
