Why after 5 to 15 miles back-fire, stalling, mis-fire, full choke to keep running? When stopped I smell gas and battery is drained. Does anyone know what may be going on?

check battery connections might be loose.. also check for water in bottom of gas tank. sometimes after bouncing around water is sucked into carbs.

Rv furnace stopped working

Quick call the installer to see if it is still under warranty. There is something wrong if the motor is being replaced every other year. Most of the motors should be lubed with fan turbine oil and not 3 in 1, nor detergent containing oils. If the wrong oil is used, the bearings will go south in 1 to 2 years.

Every thing has been checked - new plugs, sensor, pump, injectors all working fine - but the car turns over just won't fire - Could bad gas cause this? - Car was running fine turned off at work came out 8...

I would suspect water in the gas, as the injection treatment wouldn't affect it like this. Take a sample of the gas from the test port on the fuel rail that's on the intake manifold. You should be able to see if there's water in the gas.

I have Reddy Heater 155 Pro. I fired up yesterday for the first time in months. I put in fuel, but this morning It sparks to fire, but will not light. but it appears to have fuel blowing out. It will not...

This morning I had an identical problem with a new heater, the culprit ended up being the fuel tank had water down inside it. Condensation causes this when you store them. I ended up draining it in to a five gallon bucket and then watched the water separate and go to the bottom of the bucket. Needless to say cleaning out the tank was real fun, after draining it I stuffed rags down in the tank to **** up the water, siphoned off the fuel from the water with an electric pump and filled the heater up now it is working fine. Remove the top cover and check the burning tray over real good, I would clean the flame sensor with windex and soft terry cloth rag. Then pull some preventative maintenance, locate the nozzle, remove it, nwo they say that you can not clean these but I say with a q-tip, carb cleaner, and a tooth pick you can with out damaging the nozzle. Directly behind the nozzle is a screen clean this as well, now put it back together. Inspect all fuel lines for holes, dry rot and cracks, if all is good move on to the side cover where the fuel line goes thru to the fuel tank. Remove it and locate the fuel line and filter, remove the filter and clean with compressed air and a blow gun, blowing air backwards thru the filter, instantly clean. Now put it back together and inspect lines again. On the back of the fuel pump is a foam filter for air intake remove it and clean with dish soap and water, be sure to dry really good then put it back and button your heater back up. Now you are ready for testing and happy heating.

Need to change glow plugs on a mercedes C220D 1998

dont bother too much with thebullshit recipe .mercedesbenz were built in a cold country and have the cold start tecnique off pat .you need to establish if all the glow plugs are working .,if the engine misses and runs rough when it does start then the glow plugs are not all working but you need to test them with a test light and i would be inclined to think you will need to replace them. do them all as the ones that do work will stop soon.they all seem to go around the same time------------"youdoit "

Problem getting the engine to turn over after running a while

The first thing I would do is replace the fuel filter. That is a reasonable solution and the most inexpensive. If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd consider replacing the fuel pump.
A faulty fuel pump can cause erratic starting, low engine output or even leave you stranded by the side of the road.

Fuel gauge not working on 2005 ford mustang

Sending unit is in gas tank. usually as an assembly with the electric pump. These aren't cheap either, If you know a mechanic you can trust ask him how much to install a new one, I can get them wholesale for less than two hundred dollars, but of course retail probably more like 250.00 Hope this helps you!

Doesnt always start, but lights, radio, AC/heat does come on.

First place to check is the battery. Old ones can push your lights , radio, etc, but the starter is the real load. . Can verify this by using jumper cables to a running vehicle and watch your machine fire right up! The reason mornings are the worst, is the battery has had the most time to discharge, and it is probably cooler outside.

engine oil leaking past injector O rings and going into fuel return hose back to tank contaminates tank. if recall done are O rings ok? can put clear plastic tube on return fitting in rear of head to see if black (contaminated with oil) or air leaks, from cold start, it isnt high pressure
it could be from before or now?
