As long u`ve got audio out on ur Vaio (usually headphone mini jack on laptop`s) use stereo mini jack to RCA (both male plugs) extension cable. U may use video or vcr inputs on Yamaha. Be careful, when adjusting volume on ur Vaio - start from mid range & compare with other sources - DVD, TUNER etc. I`m not sure, but ur model got an optical SPDI/F audio output. In this case use toslink cable.
