Voice record memory full, reformatting my v3

I'm not a technician, but I had the same problem. After reading some people got the phone wet, I remembered I'd been in a heavy rain two nights ago. I had the keyboard locked with "voice record memory full" (after it filled up). My wife was baking a pie and I warmed the phone up on the top of the stove where the oven exhausts holding the voice record button on the right side of the phone at the top. In a few minutes I shut off the phone (the only thing that worked) and turned it on again and the problem went away. I just did this so it may not be permanent.

Yes, but how do you do that, when none of your buttons are working in order to delete the voice recordings. Basically all I can do is turn the phone off and on. (yes, I've taken the battery out, waited a minute, put it back in, I've even tried taking the sims out.) None of it works, my buttons won't work, it just says Voice Record Memory Full. Now I'm trying to hook it up to my computer to hopefully delete some files so it will work, but I can't pull up a window or figure out how to get my computer to aknowledge it. Please help.

Please try this:

Push the center button near the 4 arrows, this should bring up your menu, then arrow down to 7) TOOLS.

Select TOOLS, then arrow over to 3) VOICE RECORDS then select.

Push OPTIONS, then arrow down to Delete all. When prompted, to delete all, select YES.

You are done!

ok this really works! listen up.... first remove everything. the bat..and the sim card. then get a replacement phone (your old one) and use your sim there. let it sit for a week or so 2 weeks is even better.

now put back the sim and presto! you have a working phone!...again!..lol remember it will only work for at least a week then it will freeze again. so best thing is after it works go to menu >tools and select voice record and delete everything. hope that works. i have not tried this koz i bought a new iphone..lol

but it was good for a week or so. enough to just trasfer my pics to my album.

I took mine to the Cingular store and he said they could not even hard reset it because in order to do that you need to get to the menu. Sooooooo, I bought a go phone from walmart for $14 and dropped the sim card in...everything works fine in the new phone (i save my phone numbers to the sim vs the phone).

FYI - even a new sim card in the razr won't work as the phone is completely locked up. Good luck with it...this was a pain.
