Yes, but how do you do that, when none of your buttons are working in order to delete the voice recordings. Basically all I can do is turn the phone off and on. (yes, I've taken the battery out, waited a minute, put it back in, I've even tried taking the sims out.) None of it works, my buttons won't work, it just says Voice Record Memory Full. Now I'm trying to hook it up to my computer to hopefully delete some files so it will work, but I can't pull up a window or figure out how to get my computer to aknowledge it. Please help

Hi, I have teh same problem. It happened after my baby used the phone as a teether. (Oops.) Function came back after a day, but then a week later the voice record problem returned out of the blue. Have not found a solution!

Same problem...power on/off works, but the rest of the keypad does not work. only time it operates is after you hit the hang up button and another key, then it says voice record memory full. any answers yet?

Out of nowhere, my razr shifted to "voice record" mode (which I had never used) and kept recording until it reached "voice record memory full". Now nothing works, and that message appears whenever the phone is turned on. I have tried removing the battery; no effect. Help.

I'm not a technician, but I had the same problem. After reading some people got the phone wet, I remembered I'd been in a heavy rain two nights ago. I had the keyboard locked with "voice record memory full" (after it filled up). My wife was baking a pie and I warmed the phone up on the top of the stove where the oven exhausts holding the voice record button on the right side of the phone at the top. In a few minutes I shut off the phone (the only thing that worked) and turned it on again and the problem went away. I just did this so it may not be permanent.

Have you tried to remove the battery, then wait for 1 minute at least, then put the battery back in, then try above procedure.

Let me know how it goes.

Ok this really works! listen up.... first remove everything. the bat..and the sim card. then get a replacement phone (your old one) and use your sim there. let it sit for a week or so 2 weeks is even better.

now put back the sim and presto! you have a working phone!...again!..lol remember it will only work for at least a week then it will freeze again. so best thing is after it works go to menu >tools and select voice record and delete everything. hope that works. i have not tried this koz i bought a new iphone..lol

but it was good for a week or so. enough to just trasfer my pics to my album.

I took mine to the Cingular store and he said they could not even hard reset it because in order to do that you need to get to the menu. Sooooooo, I bought a go phone from walmart for $14 and dropped the sim card in...everything works fine in the new phone (i save my phone numbers to the sim vs the phone).

FYI - even a new sim card in the razr won't work as the phone is completely locked up. Good luck with it...this was a pain.

hi!
All you have to do to reformat the memory card is that you have to
insert the memory card, press the Center Select Key,scroll to and select Phone Status, scroll to and select Device Info, scroll to and select Storage Devices, select Memory Card and press Options, and then select Format. When prompted, press Yes to continue or No to cancel formatting.

Another step for you to be able to reformat your memory card is you just have to
press Main Menu, scroll to and Select Settings, scroll to and Select Storage Device, scroll to and Select Memory Card, scroll to and Select Format Memory Card, and then
highlight Yes and press the Center Select Key.

And this will also be an option for you to format your memory card. Here are the steps:
Insert the microSD card.
Press Menu > Settings > Security.
Enter your lock code.
Select Format External Memory. (A warning will be displayed.).
If you are sure you wish to remove all the files from your microSD card, select Yes (left softkey).

Thanks!

Motorazr V3 Status indicator no longers displays envelope for voice messages

Why am I receiving a memory full notification? space.gif space.gif answer.gif Memory full warning notifications are shown once the SMS memory reaches 80% full, which is 80 out of 100 SMS.
The notifications show up every time on receiving a new message. On reaching 100%, "Memory full notification" message is shown and no new messages will be received until we make space for incoming messages by deleting some from the inbox.
Memory full warning notices are shown only if "Auto Erase Inbox" is set to Off in Messaging settings (Menu -> Settings -> Messaging).
If set to On, then these notices are not shown. By default this is set to Off.

Voice record memory full & screen froze

Are you able to get into the software to purge the voice records?

If not, it sounds like the phone needs to be "reflashed" at an authorized service centre. Take it where you bought it. It should not cost you if it is less than one year old (warranty).

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

The phone has a Voice Record feature, but I think it's only for a couple of seconds of audio for the voice dialling feature.
Anyways, go to Menu > Office Tools > Voice Records and press the Voice button, located on the right-side of the flip display.
