Hello,
Okay, we have two ways of going about this
1. install the net framework
2. remove the program with 3rd party tools.

Lets go with installing net framework 2 as its a good program to have installed on the computer in any case.

net framework is available here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en

Just click on the download button on the page, ones its downloaded double click the file and run the setup, use default settings don't change anything, when its done, try running the uninstall again - you may have to restart the computer first.

If that doesn't help then run revouninstaller FREE http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
download the free version from the above website. There is a pay for program also there, just go with the free one.

After you have installed the program, run it, select the program from the list that you want to uinstall and uninstall it.

Use the Advanced option when you are offered multiple options on uninstalling. Click next.

Select all entries related to the program, and delete. click next, Select all files related to the program and click next. follow instructions on screen.

When the uninstall is finished the program should be gone, just to be sure, restart the computer and go look into the uninstall programs tab in control panel, is it still there?

Then try installing the new program.

Let me know if you need further assistance .

Installing print shop 23 on windows 8.1 get framework incompatibility error. what should i do?

I now have PrintShop 23.1 up and running on my Windows 8.1. This is what worked for me:
1. First, RIGHT CLICK on the Printshop icon on your desktop, select Properties, click on Compatibility, and make the selection to run the program in Compatibility Mode for Windows 8. Click Apply, then OK to exit.
2. Double click the Printshop icon on your desk top to open Printshop. If it works - great! However, if it does NOT work, it means the .NET framework required to run the program was uninstalled or corrupted by the Windows 8.1 upgrade and needs to be reinstalled, so please do the following.
3. From your Control Panel, select Programs and Features; in Programs and Features, uninstall Printshop. (You get to the Control Panel by clicking on Settings in your desktop popout taskbar, usually on the right side.) 4. Check to make sure the Microsoft .NET framework is also uninstalled. If not, attempt to uninstall. If you have recently gone to Windows 8.1, it may be partly or fully uninstalled because the 8.1 upgrade might have removed (or damaged) part of it. If it will not uninstall, don't worry! Proceed . . . 5. Follow this step even if you see no sign of the .NET framework in Programs and Features. It is almost certain that you have debris from it on your computer because this is a known problem, and Printshop will not reinstall unless the debris is removed. THEREFORE, clean your computer by using the Microsoft .NET Framework Cleanup Tool found at the following link:
.NET Framework Cleanup Tool http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/08/28/8904493.aspx
6. AFTER Printshop is once again installed, it will very likely NOT RUN unless you follow Step #1, above, to run it in Windows 8 Compatibility Mode.

Hi, in Windows 7 Microsoft.net framework 3 is installed and newer versions can be installed on it. If you try to install an older version, it will block your installation.
1-Try to download it from Microsoft\'s website and install it with administrator account privilege.
2-Go to the control panel, find out if Windows features are on or off. Try to check
Microsoft.net framework and then restart Windows. Then reinstall it.
3-If you have still problems, go to www.microsoft.com and search microsoft dot net framework 2 in windows 7.
kind regards

It sounds like you have an application that is using the .NET Framework. Uninstall .NET Framework v2 from Control Panel, Add-Remove programs.
Re-install the .NET Framework software by running your windows update. Don't forget to rerun the windows update until there is no more update. Throughout the process you will need to reboot. Once completed reinstall your game.

Microsoft lifecam 2.07 installation problems - Infinite loop

In my case the LifeCam 2.07 installation problems on Win XP SP3 were related to Microsoft .NET Framework. Figured this out by looking into the temporary directories LifeCam installation creates - it seemed like it was repeatedly extracting and trying to install .NET 3.0 without success. Fixed this by installing .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and all following updates from Windows Update first. Then the LifeCam installation worked fine.

When I try to open HP Director, I get a FATAL ERROR message; CLR error 80004005 How can I fix this? Bob

All I can uncover is it may have something to do with the .NET Framework. My suggestion would be to uninstall the 3.0 .NET Framework through the control panel's Add or Remove Programs. (Are you running Vista? If not, you don't need 3.0)

Reboot and see if it corrects the problem.

If not, uninstall the .NET Framework 2.0. Reboot. See if it works.

Then download .NET Framework 2.0 and reinstall. (I would go through Windows Update to do this.)

Reboot. See if that corrects it.
