On the download page, click the link for the ISO image file. It should have the version number included in the name.
Whether you want to install F-Secure Rescue CD on a disc or a USB device, the same file will be used by both installs.

Hi, i hope you can help! My daughters e-machine shows ATTENTION! SPYWARE ALERT. It says the computer is infected by spyware. 34 serious threats have been found while scanning your files and registry. It...

Restart the computer, when you see the Emachine logo, tap F8
go to safe mode
Once in safe mode, go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools system restore
restore to 1 week previous that you downloaded the malware. The software that you are getting hit with is a virus itself called "Hijack Ware"- it basically holds your system hostage.

Now after that is done, go to a site like Avast! or AVG and install an antivirus (Both of those are free and reputable. I prefer Avast!)

Don't click and don't believe crud like those popups ever again.

The only thing that comes up is a Red Cross Antivirus window, cant seem to remove it. I already have an antivirus downloaded.

Red Cross Antivirus is a rogue anti-virus program that is installed via the Fake Microsoft Security Essentials Alert Trojan. This rogue is installed via a fake Microsoft Security Essentials alert that states you are infected and then prompts you to install 1 of 5 rogues, including Red Cross Antivirus. When the program is installed it will reboot your computer and start before you see the Windows desktop. It will then scan your computer and state that there are numerous infected files found, but will state that it will not be able to clean some of them as it requires the heuristics module in order fix them. In order to activate this heuristic module you will need to first purchase the program. This is a scam, though, as none of the files it states are viruses are actually infected.
Go to TrendMicro.com and run a free online virus scan to eliminate this rogue.

Windows security alert keeps popping up. antivirus software alert keeps popping up. have mcafee antivirus but it says application cannot be executed. file is infected.

Hi,
Sounds like you have a XP virus. Turn your computer on and go into "safe mode with networking". once connected to the internet go to cnet.com. Go to the download tab for windows. Then download and install "malwarebytes".
Install the program and run it, this should take out the malware. If succesful, go to your computer icon, right click and then select properties. Turn of system restore and restart your computer. This will remove all the nasties. Remember to turn on system restore after this is completed.
