    Used truck new to me. Radio/blue tooth worked fine for 4 months. One engine start and I had nothing to the unit. No sign of power at all. Hit the reset and the unit came alive, however now it will not stay connected to any station or the bluetooth. The connect/disconnect is totaly random in duration, from a few seconds to 20+ miles. I don't use the Pandora or the USB port.

This means that the power lead you connected the red and yellow to is a switched live and each time you turn off the ignition the power goes off and therefore resets. to fix this problem you need to connect the yellow to a permanent 12v supply that stays live when you turn off the ignition.

Subwoofer output: Hold the (AM-) button down for at least two seconds. You can do this function when "SWPRE" in is set to . The SWPRE (Switching Preout) Switches the preout between rear output ("R") and subwoofer output ("SW").

How to reset kenwood kcd 5021 car radio

Waiting means you locked it up by using the wrong code too many times if there is a number after waiting 2= 5 minutes
3=1 hour
4=24 hour
That is how long you have to wait until you can try again.

Is there any reset button which will restore factory settings? If so use it and the time/date settings will be the first data to be set after that. The rest is the same.................sodeep

It turns off when in high volume

a few things...your speakers may not be a perfect match for the unit. at high volume where the radio starts to distort there is an internal protection circuit that protects the radio...it's kicking in.
solution.  Buy a power amp and take the load off of the radio.

Kenwood kdc 3011 cd player

Have you tried the balance and fader control?
Also make sure the ground or - negative wire has a good connection for that speaker from the back of the unit. Or it could be the internal amplifier it self.
