Hi,

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.

If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...

Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Miele Fridge Freezer not getting cold

Power off and remove all fluff under the fridge.
Compressor can be hot but not too hot. Are the settings ok for desired level cold. Is the fridge too heavily loaded? Try now.

Fridge freezer not cooling

if its cooling but the fridge side is too cold then the damper door that control the cold air from the freezer to the fridge side is stuck open and not closing when the fridge is no longer calling for cold air

Bottom freezer left open overnight. Freezer does not work anymore. Top fridge does not getting cold as it should be.

Your fridge gets it's cold air from the freezer. If the freezer is not working then the fridge won't get cold.

My refridgerator freezes the milk, How do i stop it from doing that? The temperature setting is in the normal range and the condensor coil is clean.

There are two setting on a fridge. One that sets the temp of the freezer and one that adjusts the temp of the fridge part. The fridge setting just adjusts the opening between the freezer and the fridge. So the fridge gets it's cool by stealing a little from the freezer. i'd get a fridge thermometer and set it it the fridge and see what the temp really is. The knobs in the fridge may not be accurate. Set the fridge and then move the thermometer over to the freezer and set that. Move back and forth until you get what you want. Usually the lower part of the fridge is a little colder then the top. However if you use the fridge a lot then every time you open the door the cold falls out and the fan will come on and start taking cold from the freezer. Another very cold spot is next to the vent where the cold air comes out from the freezer. Usually up top near the ice maker.

Fridge does not get cold . Freezer is cold.

Basically there is a damper (door) between the freezer and the fridge sections which allows cold air to migrate from the freezer to the fridge, it's probably stuck or closed. without knowing the model and make, I won't be able to direct you further, but there should be a slide or dial that controls this. if you find that and it doesn't do anything, the mechanism could be damaged.

Fridge won't get cold

Check to make sure that the fan in the freezer is running whenever the compressor turns on to cool the unit down. If the fan's not going, warmer moist air from the fridge will make the air duct frost up. The fan needs to be running to blow the cold air into the fridge section.

Admiral side by side

All the cold air from your freezer gets pushed into the fridge with a fan in your freezer section. So your problem is from the fact that this cold air isn't get to your fridge.
- the door that allows this cold air into the fridge, normally in the top left corner of the fridge, is stuck shut and needs replacement.
-the freezer isn't defrosting and restricting the air flow
-the temp controller for the fridge is damaged and thinks that the fridge is cold enough.

Fridge doesn't get cold enough

If the evaporator fan is not running. The fan itself could be faulty or the door operated light/fan switch could be faulty.

If the evaporator fan is running. The fridge is not defrosting and ice has built up on the evaporator and the air is not circulating properly into the fridge compartment. The fan circulates cold air into the fridge and back through the fridge control which is normally just an adjustable flap which allows more or less cold into the fridge depending on the setting. If the fridge is not defrosting, the defrost timer could be faulty or heater element could be blown.
