2 Answers

I have a 2 yr old 32in. Samsung LCD. The typical problem happen where it turn on and off and then quit all together. I replaced the power source board. Now it comes on the picture plays but it has a big black blotchie patch about that covers about 1/2 of the screen. It also has a few vertical red and green lines on the edge of the blotch. Do I have a problem with my main board or is it something else?

I am not sure how to check it but it was the part number for the TV I have. My TV is a Samsung 32in lcd Model number LN32A330J1D. The replacement part # is BN44-00191B which is the same part # of the board I took out. I was told I have probably have a bad T-con board but the picture was fine before I change the power board. I am not sure how to check the T-con Board and also need information as to how to gently get the connectors off the board without damaging them. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Samsung monitor loses picture

This is quite a typical problem, usually caused by defective electrolytic capacitors in the power supply of the monitor.
A good description of the phenomenon can be found here.
I'm afraid there's not much you can do, apart from having the monitor repaired - the defective capacitors need to be replaced.

My samsung tv turns on and off repeatedly at

Mine was doing that then it quit even turning on so I replaced the 4 Capacitors today on the power supply board that had bulged up on the top 3 had split open they where on the top right corner of the board where the ribbon jumps from the power board to the main board with ones from Jameco Part Number 606521 they worked perfect but make sure you put them in with the correct polarity easy to do just keep an eye on it. Very simple repair and took me about 30 min to take itapart solder on the new ones and put it back together all for under $10.

There is a capacitor that is out. It is a 470uf 25v. When you open the back and look at the power board there are three group together. It should be right there. You will be able to tell if the capactor top is bubbled replace it. It should be completely flat.
