Question about Saeco D-XXDX 8-Cup Coffee Maker

2 Answers

Hi, My Saeco Venus from Starbucks is taking FOREVER to brew, 25-35 minutes and it evaporates half of the water in the process. In the last week I have cleaned it twice with the descaler from Starbucks, once with vinegar, rinsed several times and there is no change. What do I do? I have had this machine less than a year. Thanks for your time! Bekah Olson (253)651-0402

Hello

It is a possible mineral build up in your coffee maker that is causing the problem

Heres what you should do

Unplug the machine and remove the coffee container by loosening its two fastening screws. Pull up on the adjustment lever and turn the grinding adjustment ring until its two blue marks line up, which will let you remove the ring. Vacuum or brush out the machine's gear box and grind-ring support, and reassemble the machine.

Use a thin needle to check the steam/hot water spout hole for clogs. Steam and hot water will not be dispensed correctly when the hole is clogged.

Adjust grinder levels. Move the level lower if coffee is dispensed too quickly, and move it higher if coffee is dispensed too slowly.

There is a scale deposit in a point of the piping that is big enough so the descale solution cannot dissolve and the only way to remove it is to disassemble the machine and manual descale and clean the machine.

You need remove the top cover and by following the water hose from water tank up to hot water pipe to filter remove pipes and clean them one by one. It will take time but is the only way and 100% gurantee.

it sounds like you need a new group head gasket, or the group head gasket is not installed properly.
If it is a new machine, you probably just need to reseat the group head gasket. If it is a used machine, the gasket is probably worn, they need replacement every 6-12 months.
The Starbucks Sirena is made by Saeco, and is also called the Saeco Sirena.
You can find the group head gasket (brew head gasket), and any other parts from the following:

HI
It sounds like you didn't get all the parts back in the head. The silicone head with the spring goes in first, then the screw. The spring has to touch the screw. Then the filter screws into the screw plug.

Starbucks Barista (Saeco) Espresso machine Quit pumping

Hi
If it makes a noise when you turn the brew switch on you may have a blockage in the out let line. If it doesn't make a noise but every so often you may have a bad pump.

Can't get steam from the a Starbucks Saeco Italila Digital Auto

Hi If you can get water to flow from the wand, you can descale the machine. You might have a bad steam boiler. There is also a fuse on the boiler that might be bad. Set your water hardness to 4 to keep the machine working for a long time. Descale more often than not enough.

Won't heat up

Hi
Have you run water through the steam wand on the right. Make sure that you have water in the water tank and the pick up tube is in the water. Open the knob and then push the brew button.

Water in the coffee grounds drawer

Look for a leak near the brew group on near the piston area.

Changing the brew group should solve this problem.
