Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Missing stylus/pen I recently brought a graphics tablet on ebay without seeing that the pen was missing, obviously my fault for not reading the description properly but that doesn't really help my problem. I need to know where I can get a repacement pen for the Nisis product I have brought, or if not a pen of the same make then a different stylus that will work on the tablet. Please help, I've looked everywhere. What can I do?

No I brought it on ebay and the discription said that the pen was missing, he's not a vendor he's your avarage joe public. So there was no purchase bill. If I had brought it in a street shop I naturally would have done that, but since it was (I'll stress it again) from ebay and THE DISCRIPTION said he had LOST THE PEN, then there isn't much for me to do other than find and but a replacement.

Thankyou for trying though, can enyone else help me with this?

Contact your Vendor with ORIGINAL PURCHASE BILL and he WILL have to provide you with the Gadget that's unavailable inside the Package, but ONLY IF THE MANUFACTURER CLAIMS the same to be in the Package.

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

Is it possible to get a NEW stylus for a wacom tablet, without having to replace the tablet as well? I have a brand new tablet, but I lost the stylus and searched EVERYWHERE!!!! And I just got a mac...

I have seen these available on Ebay, if you cannot find them then try again in a week or also make sure you are checking international sellers, they're usually sold by chinese sellers (usually reputable, check their feedback and all usual checks etc)

The Pen appears to be locked on the click and drag.

In the Control Panel for the pen, hold down CTRL (PC) or ALT (Mac) and click on the About button to open the diagnostic screen. Look at the value for "Pressure" on the right hand side - this should stay at 0 until the pen is brought into contact with the tablet.
If not you have the same problem as me (Graphire 4).
Solution:
So I disassembled the stylus. This is a quite brutal prcedure. the upper part is actually slid over the lower part, so to seperate them hold the rubbery part tight and bend the silver upper part arround till it moves (it may crack a bit before that, but thats just a cosmetic problem. After you pull the stylus apart, pull the PCB out and notice the coils on both ends. Pull the tips out of the coils and then the coils out of their holders (the wire should be long enough). Then you have to seperate the gray part of the sensors from the black part using a small screwdriver or something similar. whenn you then bring one of the coils near the pad, the pressure should read zero.
Carefully clean the sensor parts and put them back together, check pressure again. It should still read zero. If not, clean again.
The problem is most probably that a bit of dust or a grain of sand squeezes itself between the tip and the very sensible sensor and therefore preloads it.7f2b091.jpg
