Fridge/freezers are only painted on the OUTSIDE,the interior has only got primer,so if kept in a garage or any high humdity area rust will occur.(from the inside out, like a car)NO CURE......thats the way makers get you to buy new.....

Why are rust bubbles appearing in serveral places on the door of my freezer?

On the outside I assume. Factory did a lousy Paint job and you live in a humid area or by salt water. Wax the door with car wax.

yes replace the seal, this type of spotting that forms as rust color occurs on "ferritic" stainless steel. Simply put there exists iron in the alloy and the surface needs to be pacified. Use DeBruce Polish to correct the problem. Non-toxic and odor-less containing NO ACID, this TRUE MULTI-SURFACE CLEANER is the best product for stainless steel AND glass/ceramic cook tops. aluminium does not rust so the stain will not be rust stains

I have rust spots on textured refrigerator door I have no rust spots on the freezer door, what is the cause and how can I clean it? It is a wirlpool...

I do not yet know the cause, but I do know how to clean it up fairly well. You will need a rough surfaced rag or sponge, some additional clean rags, regular dishwashing liquid and baking soda. Dampen the rough surfaced sponge, cover with a layer of the liquid soap, then a layer of baking powder. With this, clean an area of the rust using a circular motion. You will need to rinse and reapply the cleaning agents often. You will see the brown rust coming off a little more with each cleaning. Use additional rags for rinsing the whole area. I spent an hour on the fridge side door before I was satisfied. The unit is in a vacation rental that probably is not always well temperature controlled. It is also a Whirlpool leather look textured door.

its what we in the business call "refrigerator cancer" they are rusting form the inside out. there is not repairing them and not worth the cost of replacing, you can take them off and spray them you might get a little time outta them. reason it happens is the insulation used years ago was fiberglass and would trap moisture between door and liner, eventually rusting through.. new refrigs are insulated with blown in poly-styrene. they don't hold moisture.
