Question about Thermos Grill2Go Gas Grill 4656110

1 Answer

I bought this Model 4656110 Thermos Grill2go at a yard sale. I push the knob on the valve to lite the grill, but I cannot figure out how to keep the grill lit without keeping the knob pushed it. When I let go of the Knob, the gas shuts off. Turning the knob does not seem to help. Turning the knob does not appear to change the gas flow either

No you need to replace the valve behind the knob as well most likely this is what caused the flame.

SOURCE: grill's fire won't stay lit

Try banging on the tubes feeding the burners with a heavy pair of vice grips or a hammer. It usually shakes the carbon loose to allow for free flow of gas.

Unfortunately, the part you're looking for, as well as your model grill are no longer available from the manufacturer or from after market grill parts dealers.

I'm sorry. I wish I had better news for you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Thermos Grill2GO gets warm but not hot.

Often the problem is pretty simple. I forget to turn off the control knobs when turning on the propane. This triggers the new safety mechanism in the regulators that restricts the gas flow. To re-set, disconnect everything, then reconnect with all knobs in the off position. Turn on the propane at the tank to "pressurize" the system. Sometimes I have to do it twice to get it to work right! If not - I'd suggest you contact customer support at Char-Broil (they make it) and get some tips.

Just bought a grill to go at a yard sale . Can you cook with the lid down or does it have to be up when cooking?

Yes you can cook with it down. It will get hotter being down so you may have to adjust the heat lower.
