Hi.
That is usually bad control board or bad touchpad. If it beeps with on button only, then it is the door latch.
First ensure that the door is well closed, with the door latch snapping in place. If that does not help, trip circuit breaker and DRY water from inside the tube if you have not done this already.
If the machine keeps beeping:
the fact that it beeps when you press buttons is symptom that the keypad is working and that the keypad is working.
If the machine is beeping with all or most button, then the procedure is replacing timer board. Other faults are quite unusual (eg wiring to CCU).
Before replacing CCU (control board), a couple of tests, like jumping the door latch switch, and checking connections to CCU, to MCU (motor control board) and motor. The problem in any case is likely control board.
Call the Maytag number listed in the owners manual to get a technician at home or to order parts.
The part isover $200, here part: CONTROL BOARD (CNTRL-ELEC).
The CCU is part 22 in diagram below:

I have repeatedly unplugged and re plugged the Washer. The LED's on the control panel all illuminate when re plug . The temperature touch pad beeps when press "buttons" but am unable to change from Hot/Cold.
The door locked lite illuminates after time delay, washer cycles to end.
Is there a hard reset on the circuit board or other secret path?
The ehow site indicated a twist dial select for function control. Not relevent.
