THESE CAMERAS DO NOT HAVE A AUTO POP UP SOLENOID TO OPEN FLASH. THIS HAS TO BE DONE MANUALLY WITH THE BUTTON TO THE LEFT OF THE FLASH.

Is there any Option for solving not working Flask of Nikon L120, Many times I have looking for others opinion. Even reset to Default setting also but not working.

There is a button to release the flash and that makes it pop up. I think in a full Auto (I do not use any camera this way) if it is too dark it should pop the flash up. If you can set the MODE to 'P' you control the flash... not the camera. The Little pop up button is in front on the Left side if you were holding it to take a photo.

Nikon coolpix s9500 flash will not fire

You've tried shooting in a dark room? With a fully charged battery? With the camera set to "auto"?

Nikon coolpix p500 flash not working

If you put the camera in Auto (the camera logo on the mail dial), pop p the flash, by pressing the button on the side of the flash, then the flash should fire, when you have a dark situation. Unless you selected flesh off in the settings menu. Look on page 37 of the manual.

My sony cyber-shot DSC-H10 flash stopped working. The flash pops up like it is going to work, but does not flash. I can take pictures but with noflash. Can you help me?

You flash is in ' Flash forced OFF ' position.Press on the flash control button repeatedly until one of the four modes are selected.

1.Flash Auto - Flashes when there is insufficient light or backlight ( Default Setting )

2.Flash forced on

3.Slow synchro - The shutter speed is slow in a dark place to clearly shoot the background that is out of flash light.

4.Flash forced off - ( Your current mode ).The flash automatically pops up and strobes when using the flash.Close the flash by hand after use.

How do i turn the flash off

Welcome to FixYa.

The FORCED OFF mode is the setting where flash is not activated in any recording condition. this mode used when taking pictures in places where the use of the flash is not permitted.

There are other 5 different mode/setting in using photo flash.

1. AUTO - flash automatically activated according to the recording condition.

2. AUTO/Red-eye reduction - flash is automatically activated according to the recording condition. It reduces the red-eye phenomenon by triggering the flash before actually recording the picture. After that, the flash is activated for actual recording again.

3. FORCED ON - use the when your subject is back-lit or under fluorescent light.

4. FORCED ON/Red-eye reduction - use this when you set the camera to PARTY MODE

5. Slow sync./Red-eye reduction - use this when you take pictures of people in front of a dark background.

I hope this solution will help you. Just send us you comments or suggestion if this solution was helpful.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How do I disable the pop-up flash on Nikon D5000? Thanks

As long as jog dial is set to M or manual, the flash will not pop up automatically. Be reminded though because you have to set everything manually. If you want the auto settings without the flash, set the jog dial to the icon that looks like a lightning with stop/ no sign

I have a problem with my canon sd850 is. It can

You should be able to set the flash to off, auto, auto with redeye, slow-shutter sync, and forced flash on. The last two should give you the results you're looking for. If these aren't available in manual mode, get out of manual mode.

I cannot get my fuji 9500 flash to work despite checking all the guides recommended in the manual

Do you have to manualy pop it up first? You can have auto flash or Forced flash. It should work in Auto mode given the correct conditions, (Dark).

Just a thought

Optio s - flash problem in low light

Read the photo data (EXIF) and confirm what setting the flash was in. It may have been set to off by mistake. For close indoor shots I usually don't depend on the Auto setting, just manually force the flash on to get proper lighting. If you use the Auto setting take into consideration the white balance and the type of indoor lighting you are using.
