Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router

Router the router has been up and working its about five manths old. dell 4700 desk top is the main computer. tried unplugging and all that still no luck . as for the last advice yyou gave i don't know what the abriviations meant./

Go to control panel, then Network and Internet connections
then network connections
double click local area connection
go to the support tab
put the default gateway code into your browser address bar.
if it requires a code, the name is admin and the password is password.
youll get to a web page, go to wireless settings.
type in the name of your router in the first box (ssip or something)
if its already in there then im not sure what to do. just adjust the setttings in this area and it should work.

Hello!

-- who is your internet service provider
-- what is the operating system of your computer?
-- is this working fine before or is this a brand new router

you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router

Step 1: Shutdown the computer.
Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable.
Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable.
Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable.
Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings
Step 7: test the Internet connection.

if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router

note:

configuring the router settings will depends who is your provider. if your isp is dsl you need to configure your ISP username and password on the router. if your router is a cable no need to change any settings on the router. it should automatically work

check your cpu fan if still working. if it is working try to edit your bios to safe defaults and save it then boot up. also try to boot on safe mode if it is ok in safe mode then try system restore...if worst.. format your pc

My 2005 pc desk top crushed. called dell and diagnostics tested showed problem with either motherboards or power. my warranty expired and looking for prof to look into the problem..


If computer dont starts at all it is power supply (no signs of working at all) If there is nothing on the screen it can be power supply or motherboard. Put different power supply ( you will be 100% sure)

1-go to start control panel 2-click on printer 3-click on add new printer 4-follow the instructions 5-place cd with printer drivers inside computer install drivers 6-if you do not have drivers go to www.dell.com 7-go to support enter your printer model they will give you the drivers to download

My Belin Router won't connect to my desk top computer when I turn my computer on. I have to unplug my Belkin Router and wait awhile and then plub it in again. Sometimes I have to unplug the route 3-5 times...


You can simply update the firmware of the router if it keeps dropping your internet connection. Download the latest firmware from Belkin website and install it. Now the trick is you need to hard reset the router before and after you update the firmware. To hard reset it, press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds. After that unplug the power. Wait for another 30 seconds before you plug it back in.

Dell Desk top siund issue


Yes, it could be mother board or bad speaker wire. Or get another sound card and have someone install it for you and load the driver. again, If you have the driver for that old sound card, remove and install it again.If the sound card is on the mother board, go to the manufacture and download the driver.
