Have you tried it on another computer or tried a different monitor on that computer. It could be the video card. If it's not the video card it is the inverter board inside the LCD case. Go to this site for a diagram of how to open case and remove board. You can either order a reburbished board or send your in for repair.

Do a hard disk check. I would bet your hard drive is going on you. Make sure you back up everything. The other thing to check is your video card. Much easier to deal with on a tower than a laptop.

Sounds like your monitor is going dead. If its under warranty that would be the best way to go. Specifically it sounds like the power inverter is dead or there is a busted capacitor.

Computer screen is flashing

dell monitor will work fine and then go black with an internal blue light flashing from the bottom of the screen up. I have checked wires they are ok. I am able to get it working sometimes if I move the position of the screen back and forth or up and down the on button will stop flickering and it will come back on. HELP!

LCD monitor no display - flashing power button

hello, my best guess is that the refresh rate is set for a crt monitor. hook your old one back up, if you can. and change it to 60 hertz or 70hertz. go 2 display properties then settings then advanced; then monitor. set the refresh rate as i said and turn off the computer, hook the new one back, and you should be good to go. good luck! and please rate this solution. if you need further assistance, reply
